Bill Moos is on a fast track to the Mount Rushmore of Nebraska athletics, right between Bob Devaney and Tom Osborne.
To all you "fans" (followers) who jump at every opportuniy to be negative, whether it be pushing gossip or spreading doubt, or maybe even comparing Moos to a dunk or a monkey, PISS OFF.

Because of Bill Moos we have Scott Frost as head coach and Fred Hoiberg as basketball coach.

To all my homies who have been backing Moos,

And to all you haters,

Tadition Coalition, MFers!

GO BIG RED.

Moos has earned all his money, plus got rid of couple other coaches, brought in Fred's buddy to coach golf. Who is in his baseball drawer! If he could bring Childress back, holy s***

Bounds and Green deserve some credit for having the sense to do a true national search for the anti-Eichorst, then hiring the best candidate even though he is up there in age. ADBM is so different in so many ways from his predecessor. He is approachable, good with the press, fairly transparent, seems to run an efficient department, doesn't micro-manage, doesn't hand out stupid books for mandatory reading, is seen at a lot of athletic events, understands the state, does a good job of pumping the brand, and basically appears (to me at least) to be a true professional.

I like what he is doing. However, talk is cheap. Both coaching hires need to prove it on the field. That is the bottom line. Moos got he best hires possible on both accounts. It needs to be proved on the football field and basketball court. Speculating about what great hires they are is, well, just speculating. Put it on paper and then we can talk about how great Moos is. Come back in 2 to 3 years and we will see. I am excited like everyone else. However, unless they produce- and I think they will-, they will get their walking papers like everyone else in 5 years. In this day and age, that is reality.

While I agree with the point that we should wait to say his hires were a success until they are, I think that idea is unrelated to how good of an AD Bill Moos is.

In both football and basketball he went out and got highly regarded and sought after coaches quickly and decisively. What more can an AD do? Sure we’d like him to be a fortune teller in addition to being a kickass administrator, but expecting him to see the future is a bit ridiculous. Heaven forbid if one of his hires doesn’t work out I’d be hard pressed to envision some other dude doing a better job of hiring the next coach. That is all.

He did and possibly exceeded what he is currently paid to do. So far so good. Like anything else, his legacy will be determined in 3 to 5 years. For NOW, one can't ask for more. Mount Rushmore? Not at this point. You cannot determine how good of an AD he is until it plays out. As of right now, he seems pretty good so far. For the amount of money that he has shelled out, hopefully the results will follow and his legacy will be cemented. For a guy that seemingly was supposed to be canned a month ago due to misconduct, he seems to have rebounded with a hire that is probably the best that we could hope for at this time. He will have another big decision to make after the baseball season, so his he won't be able to rest, that's for sure.

I was more responding to the idea that he isn’t good at his job. Regardless of how these hires pan out I’d say he’s proven that he is good at his job already. You might not have been saying that, I was just defending a guy who inexplicably has come under fire lately despite killing it as AD.

You are right that his legacy will be made or not based on how these hires work out. Here’s to hoping he makes it up on Mt Rushmore and the NCs that made it happen.

Childress is smart enough knowing now that Nebraska is in the B1G in baseball that it’s a slim chance getting to Omaha in this conference compared to playing in the SEC where the warmer weather permits having more success...

Only downside joining this conference is Baseball was going to take a downward spiral..

That's one guy your not going to hire at Nebraska, if Moos would pull that off then you better start building another statue next to tom and Brooke

Moos did his job. Now it's on the coaches to succeed
