There must be some behind the scenes scandal that eventually will come out. They wouldn't fire him at this time unless it were for a scandal.
I figured as much. If this were about job performance, they would have waited til we dropped a game to Fordham or Buffalo. Which I think is a possibility.

I text someone that might know and he said he is hearing “personal behavior”, whatever that means? Could be interesting.

Any chance John Cook would move up to the AD job?
I seem to remember some speculation about this a while back? I'd actually be ok with Cook as AD and think he could do well... I'm a Moos fan and thought he did pretty good for us considering what he took over... I hope this all works out for the best

Wow, must have been something wrong with the WSJ article? Either that or they want a new AD to make key hires if necessary.

Or he got a DUI or he's going to replace Scott at Pac12.

P12 named a guy from MGM as their new commissioner a couple weeks ago.

1. I love how without any additional information yet, this could swing big either way for Frost. Hiring Davison would cement him, while other hires would put him on the hot seat.
2. IF Moos is out due to poor performance, I wonder how much the dodging OU snafu played into it. Media leaking that was an embarrassment to say the least. Did it play a big role? Or final nail in coffin?
I really doubt it's that. I think that's probably a drop in the bucket of things that are not exactly performance related. The timing of this says to me it wasn't because of what was or was not happening with NU athletics.

Bring back Pedey! Third time's a charm! What is Eichorst doing these days? Be sure to put Barry on the search committee.

Sean has said numerous times that you will know when Frost job is precarious! It would be preceded by comments from the President, Chancellor or Regents! The first shot has been fired by letting the AD go! IMHO

I would like to see John Cook hired as AD! And Davison demoted in hopes of hiring someone else to Push Scott and his Team to Succeed! Not sure Davison is that guy!

Moos hired Frost and Hoiberg which 99% of the fanbase wanted. He then hit it out of the park with the Bolt hire....he then proceeds to get the funds needed to build the best football facility in America.

People still ***** and complain.

I know the AD is responsible for all athletic programs but his main responsibility is to drive success in football. That's 90% of the job. And the results on the football field have been awful. Most ADs only get one shot to hire a football coach.

There's a chance Frost turns things around this year (fingers crossed), but if the wins don't come and the recruiting continues to stink, then it'll be time to move on to the next coach. Bringing in a new AD now gives that person the opportunity to use this season to make critical assessments and possibly select a new coach.

Moos didn't decide this week to just retire 5 days from now.

It would be nice to have all the firing and hiring stop for awhile.
