Would we really put up with this crap again?

Moorhead & his agent need to realize something: #1 this type of stuff coming out in an absolute insult to MSU & #2. After putting up with it for 8 years with Mullen, MSU fans are tired of it & may just call your bluff.

What exactly is Moorhead supposed to do? He has no control over media pundits throwing names out there.

I heard from my cousins girlfriends dad that discussions were underway already. One of his sons friends coaches at Scooba tech and Cohen is also in talks with his head coach about a possible opening. I hear he is a disciplinarian 3 yards and a cloud of dust type coach. I'm excited already.

Cohen....waive any buyout fee now! Make this happen!

Make it a package deal. Add in a bonus. Direct this to Keenum. I jest.

I doubt he would leave in year two unless he is that desperate to move back to the northeast and big 10. Just like I know it’s highly unlikely he would actually be fired in year two no matter how bad we look the rest of the year.
Now should he? I think his style would be a better fit in the big 10 and northeast.

Y’all are crazy. Rutgers is probably the worst Power 5 job in America. He’s not going there willingly.

Watch him go and take his QB with him, then the Fiyarrr Moorhead crowd would really need the paddles charged.

About 90% of the time guys get associated with jobs because of the agent, not because a reporter just thought about that coach. My guess is that there is a really really good chance that this is Joe's agent.

Does Rutgers have to play Auburn, Alabama, LSU, and the rest of of the SEC every year? If not, then it’s not the worst job in America. **

Moorhead needs to be situationally aware here and go if there is legitimate interest. He is a bad fit and he still has value from Rutgers perspective. It’s a win-win for him, MSU, and presumably Rutgers if they want him.

Average Rutgers ACT score is 28 compared to our 25. He might find more kids there who can implement his systems.

So far he hasn't done that anywhere. He had an outstanding winning percentage everywhere else. Uconn was pretty good when he was the OC there.

Hope not. We need to keep our roster and our QB from transferring. NCAA would probably allow Shrader and company transfer and have immediate eligibility.

I see the sarcasterisks, but I will point out they do have to play Ohio St., Penn St., Michigan St. & Michigan every year, with a lot less resources in terms of facilities and fan support than we have. It's a brutal job.

And it would be so Mississippi State of us if he went to Rutgers w/ Shrader and most of the coaching staff and Rutgers turns around year one and looks phenomenal.

It would be typical State. He is probly gonna be the best or second best coach we ever had.

Mullen figured it out in some ways and adapted slightly. Maybe Pittsburghead will, too.

Were we worried about transfers when Merlin left? Imagine last year without Fitz.

Outside of the fact that this is asinine, how horrible would it look for state to lose a coach to Rutgers?

Ain't happenin' brotha.

who the frick cares about how it looks...you dont make decisions based on what others think about it, you make decisions based on what is best for the program. if moorhead wants out, we need to accommodate him because it looks like he is getting fired next year....you dont pay him more to keep him because it looks bad. optics are totally irrelevant.

These posts are so ridiculous. I would love it if he bailed out on just to see what lame retread we hired to replace him so I could watch the poster board geniuses melt down. Go back 18 months or so and look at what was said about Dan. Just sad.
