agree 100%. I want this team to keep playing with a chip on their shouldersI want us to be ranked but I feel like we’re better when we’re not someone please prove me wrong lol
Yeah, I think somewhere over 25 and under 35. Hard to say ‘cause I don’t know who else lifted themselves up. We are getting wins, but they’ve been really ugly.26th
I agree - but think this is one of two big growth / experiential hurdles we need to go through as a program - playing ranked and playing on national tv. Need more of both experiences and we are there as a Program under Pike - repeatable success as players turn over, national brand that gets us preference with recruits and tv execs and bracket folks, etc. Bring on that ranking and let’s get used to the weight of it!!I want us to be ranked but I feel like we’re better when we’re not someone please prove me wrong lol
I would rather see us take that next step and being consistent #25 team. We take that next step and we should be able to perform at the top level competition and win. This is how we get our 5stars and 4 stars in the recruiting trail. We cant be outside looking in forever.I don't really mind if we aren't in the top 25 tomorrow. We do seem to be better with the chip on our shoulder. Win Thursday, and we will be in next week. Lose Thursday, and we probably wouldn't be.
On the other hand, I can't recall the last time we were ranked, so if we can get there for even just one week, that would be great.
Should already be ranked, but I'll go with #22 and it would be about #15 if we hadn't had the OSU game stolen from us. But I don't really care about rankings - I just want to win games.I am going put Rutgers at #21
Voters do not have to keep teams in lockstep. A team can jump over others based. On the body of work. And the wins don’t look ugly in the standings.Yeah, I think somewhere over 25 and under 35. I understand. But I think we aren’t playing like a top 25 team right now. Close, but not quite there.Voters do not have to keep teams in lockstep. A team can jump over others based. On the body of work. And the wins don’t look ugly in the standings.
If we aren’t ranked, this isn’t going to be whyYeah, I think somewhere over 25 and under 35. Hard to say ‘cause I don’t know who else lifted themselves up. We are getting wins, but they’ve been really ugly.
Virtually (or maybe literally) all analytics disagree with youI understand. But I think we aren’t playing like a top we team right now. Close, but not quite there.
I admit I’m not sure who out there is a 5-loss or less team that might be ahead of us, besides teams ready ranked or getting votes last week. But to me, that’s the question.
True. But OSU is overrated as is NW, IMO. Gotta see how voters feel about it. Neither was ranked, both had more votes than us.If we aren’t ranked, this isn’t going to be why
You pride yourself on your fair unemotional take on everything.True. But OSU is overrated as is NW, IMO. Gotta see how voters feel about it. Neither was ranked, both had more votes than us.
We’ll see. I don’t care either way. I only care that we keep winning. ‘Cause that’ll mean we’re getting back to playing better on O.
I know. So maybe I’m wrong. It’s a happy thing to be wrong about, I guess. But again, I want to see more wins and improved offense from Cliff and Caleb and don’t care about ranking at this point.Virtually (or maybe literally) all analytics disagree with you
You might be right about the actual ranking, I have no idea. But the AP poll is not exactly the worlds foremost basketball team evaluator.I know. So maybe I’m wrong. It’s a happy thing to be wrong about, I guess. But again, I want to see more wins and improved offense from Cliff and Caleb and don’t care about ranking at this point.
