You don't have to pay more than 10-15% of the bond at most, unless you fail to show up to court. Remember it is EXTREMELY expensive to keep someone in lock up, so letting them go for free or 10% of their bond saves the city money. Now if you fail to show for court you have to pay the full 35000.

The California legislature did away with cash bonding last year as discriminatory toward poor people. The new system took into account factors of flight risk and more or less released people pretrial if they were deemed pretty certain to show up for court, which most people were. The bailbond industry went nuts, filed suits and got 400K signatures to put a referendum on the 2020 ballot. Until then California reverted back to the old cash bond system. Could be bad or good for Washington the old system is in place. On one hand, if there were no cash bonding he might not have to pay 10% of the $35,000. On the other hand, if Santa Clara County has a bee in their bonnet about him, which they might, he may have been locked up until trial as a "flight risk" and missed all Spring Practice.
Thats what I am a bit worried about, that they use him to "make an example" of. Being he is a higher profile person. The guys the filmed the video and sent in to everyone only got probation. So if he get a harsher sentence than that, that is ridiculous

Usually 10% of the bail. Either get a bondsman at high interest or come up with the cash.

Nebraska football is continuing to try and land impact players in the 2020 class, as a four-star center has put Nebraska in his list of top five teams. Reece Attenberry announced via Twitter Monday that the Huskers has made the cut teams and they certainly have good company.
In addition to Nebraska, Attenberry has narrowed down his list to Duke, Michigan, Notre Dame, and Ohio State. Once again, this would certainly be a case of Scott Frost and the program going up against more prestigious schools. However, they have shown they are not afraid to back down from a challenge. A win on the recruiting trail here would be another big get for the program as they have been on a roll on the recruiting trail lately.
Hailing from Eaglecrest High School, Attenberry measures in at six-foot-five, 280 pounds. What could he bring to Nebraska Football? For one, he could provide help in the running game as his size allows him to open up holes for the running backs. As soon as the ball is snapped, he extends his hands out quickly and pushes the lineman back. His timing and speed with which he completes those moves should translate well to the collegiate game. Especially with some of the faster-paced offenses, everything needs to be in-sync.With the type of running game Nebraska Football is slated to have in the future, Attenberry’s quickness off the snap could be something beneficial to them. Of course, we are getting a bit ahead of ourselves here. The other teams listed in his top five probably see the same type of skillset in him. He should be able to play well wherever he goes, and it would be ideal if he was pancaking defenders on Saturday’s in Lincoln.
