KSR has said multiple times there will be a radio broadcast of it. I'd imagine 630 WLAP will stream it if that is true. LINK

EDIT: Thinking about it some more, I'm pretty I heard KSR also mentioning that WHAS will be doing a radio stream as well. LINK

It's for charity there for putting more butts in the seats. Not anything wrong with that. I do understand what you're saying though.

One Billion Fan, thanks for the info/links. I live west of the Miss. river and it is strange to see the W in radio stations call letters. Ours are all K. When I graduated from U.K. and to Texas and later to Missouri I had to get use to the Ks. Thanks to the internet and T.V., I have not missed a U.K. game in several years. Of course a few of those I did use your streaming. Thanks for your work.

Haven't they had this game setup for a couple weeks now? Shouldn't have been that hard to make a streaming pay per view broadcast for it. Just notify the usual suspects for ad revenue and there you go. They could have used the radio guys to do the commentary and not had to worry about having ESPN or SEC Network guys do the broadcast. They would have made a bunch more money for this.

I checked Ticketmaster and it looks like there are probably at least a few thousand unsold tickets still. Most people would rather watch an exhibition on TV than in person. Especially on a weeknight. Probably would have made a couple hundred thousand at least with a pay per view option.

Is it not some sort of NCAA thing? Since UK had to get special permission to add this game, did it not come with limitations to broadcasting? I swear I had heard that somewhere.

I would bet the fact that it's an exhibition vs. a D-1 opponent has something to do with it.

A lot of D-1 teams scrimmage each other unofficially over the summer, but aren't allowed to report any of the details. Bet this falls under the same umbrella.

It will be an interesting game, probably a bit more competitive than the last one. They don't have anyone bigger than 6-7 on the roster.I would think they get up and down the court pretty well and pressure the ball more than what we saw on Friday.

I guess I'll be driving my wife crazy blasting the game through the speakers just like the old days. The memories lol

I plan on listening to it on the radio and I am actually looking forward to it. This was Old School UK fandom before all games were on TV. The right announcer could actually paint you a picture of what was going on and you could close your eyes and "see it unfold". Cawood was great at that and I think Tom Leach is pretty good too.

Should be fun and I hope they raise a lot of money.

Would love to but I work 2nd shift, so I won't get any sort of live anything.

Leach is fantastic at calling both basketball and football. I often mute the tv and turn the radio on lol.
