You don't have any proof that he committed a felony. Apparently other than a step mother's testimony neither does the prosecution. Get lost troll.
Possessing child pornography is a felony, no one has ever denied he possessed it.

I was 19 way back when. I didn't do the kind of things Washington has done.

Everything he's done is in the realm of 19. Saying that you didn't do anything or never made a mistake is missing the point. He's 19.

He’s an idiot for sure and certainly a strange dude but the goofy Iowa fans make it sound like he was Epsteins partner in crime.

You're equating him having a video of his girlfriend having sex with 2 dudes to kiddie porn? Apparently the prosecutor has a REALLY weak case(no physical evidence) or doesn't think it's too big of a deal because he's already been talking in news interviews about "reaching a deal".

The attorney for Washington stated “Mr. Washington did not make the video, nor does he appear in the video.” Hmmm...not once did he state that Washington wasn’t in possession of the video or deny that Washington sent the video while referring to a rape victim as a “hoe”. Do you claim the technology doesn’t exist that authorities have ability to trace the text back to Washington?

Again, the prosecutor seems very eager to "reach a deal". That hardly seems like they view this as seriously as you do. I stated many times earlier this fall, I wouldn't want a kid no matter what team he played for, to be labeled a sex offender for the rest of his life for what Washington allegedly did. Frankly, I don't care that much if he ever plays again for the Huskers but I think it would be a horrible miscarriage of justice to stamp that label on him for the rest of his life given the circumstances of his relationship with that girl and her stepmother. I would say the same thing if he was a Hawkeye, Gopher, Wildcat, Buckeye or whatever.

The fact that he’s 19 years of age makes discipline essential. It’s apparent that Frost’s current discipline tactics have been ineffective.
The kid is facing felony charges continues to make these mistakes...do you really believe sitting for half a game against a 1-4 team is really going to change his behavior?

No I do not. The punishment is meant for him to see the need, only he can change himself.

I don't agree that we can't judge a 19 year old or a 60 year old, right is right, wrong is wrong and I assume we each can tell the difference. That is judging.

Can someone tell me what keeps him from putting on weight. We allegedly have the best in the business, why is still a toothpick? 10 - 15 lbs on that frame should be easy.

That doesn't fit within their agenda. He made a mistake. Any mistake will do, whether he's been charged/convicted or not. He must pay and pay dearly.... for being 19.

the best thing frost and washington could do is make him a receiver.
he don't have the legs for a back, and defiantly not a NFL back..
but if frost could make him a receiver, he would probably be very dangerous. he's got the open field stuff covered

from what I can piece together is washington had a girlfriend who was 16 and having sex with 2 guys, and video taped it..then washington some how got it and posted it over the internet. and the problem is the girl is 16, 2 years under the age of consent. which is child porn...them seem to be the facts of the matter wading thru all the things written bout it.

I would set him out a year and have him work on being a receiver. and let the courts do what they do. it's a california court so they might whip him with a hot hershey bar as their califonia justice. Im ok with what they decide. but Im thankful to live in Nebraska.

I agree with that especially if 1 or 2 of the RB commits next year earn playing time. Washington had over 100 yards receiving vs Iowa. Ironically, Wandale seems to be able to take more of a pounding and keeps getting up for more.

wandale and cam taylor have impressed me the most this year.
we have a lot of guys that are doing ok, but them two seems to be on the highlight reel a lot
mills reminds me of a traditional Husker I-back the most...but in frosts system wandale seems to be fitting the best...his toughness is impressive.

I have no idea but he definitely needs to put some mass on that frame. Seems like over half his touches end up with him limping around..

There's a rape victim in the video? Was anyone in the video accused of rape or charged with rape?

[Insert ever-so-dramatic pause here] Hmmmmmmm.... seems like that's something you just added because you thought it sounded good.

“That’s when they started to rape me, and while I was being raped, they took a video that I had no idea about."
This is a quote from the article I read. No person should have to go through this event. Please pray for peace for this young lady.

On the outside running plays it was even worse. There were several that went negative. Against good defenses, the outside running game isn't going to be open near as often. When we play good defenses we need our running backs to see running lanes and hit the cutback. Besides Washington isn't all that great on the designed outside runs. It's when he bounces an inside run outside is when he's most dangerous.
NW is a pretty solid defense. They held Wisc to total yards less then NW iffense

So no sexual assault charges were filed against the two males in the video, and yet your head is exploding about a man not involved in that incident because he texted the video and called the woman a name?

Your outrage seems misplaced and oddly selective. If you believe they raped this woman, why aren't you campaigning to have the two males in the video convicted and thrown in prison?

If you believe in Washington then you should never comment on an opposing team's handling of a player under the same suspicion. Don't defend him because he is 19 years old. At what age are you old enough to know better? We have guys dying in the military at that age. We should lower the drinking age to the level where you can enlist(beside the point).

If you are saying there needs to be absolute proof on what he did to deem a punishment worthy, that is fine. Just don't be a hypocrite and assign a different set of rules when it doesn't suit your viewpoint. I understand more and more each day what mental health problems are, but the negative results need to be addressed to prevent them from reoccurring.

a player with the degenerate behavior of washington off the field, should be producing on the field. so far their's just been failure in both areas.

but then the gal involved sound pretty messed up in the head also, kinda like that kate with lp, frost and who knows who else?

I just wish these characters would'nt drag NU thru the mud. all I want to hear about with washington is good grades, yards after contact, and perhaps charity work, from here on out.

Don't play the military dying card because I was in the military for 24 years, I was that 18 year old and later overseen 18/19 year olds. It was/is no different as to what we/they got into whether it be military or college. Your point is pointless!

Just because you see it that way doesn't make it pointless. You are emotionally invested and that makes your viewpoint cloudy. Many other veterans don't share your point, so get out of here with making your viewpoint law.

I;ve been hard on T.O for his leniency with suspect characters like the Petes Bros and LP but after more research and more time we come to find out that T.O continued to invest in these guys lives long after they failed in the NFL and many other future ventures. LP still wrote about Tom contacting him in his final prison and stopping to see him. I have a feeling guys like Mo will stick around regardless of their level of production. If a kid steps on campus he is here to stay if he chooses it. Not sure I completely agree with it because a football program is artificial structure that is not replicated anywhere else in life. If a kid can't keep it together in order to play football then what are they going to do when they are required to go to school or work without the promise of glory and accolades. Many husker players failed in their post husker ventures and had to grow up because the Husker structure so immense.

Adulthood is reached at age 18.

"Never kicked out any schools"..
Are you sure about that?

"Charge is a bogus kid mistake..he didnt murder anyone."
Prosecutors do not file formal legal charges on "bogus kid mistakes"

"Weed is in every dorm room".
No it is not.

"We have walkons caught with weed who are still on the team".
No excuse, a deflection.

"Taking away what he loves can get results". ?? OK?

"He is actually trying to make these kids into men and wont just throw the baby away with the bath water.". Misplaced metaphor and an incoherent argument

-it is a silly case dripping with race. A white girl got a train ran on her and somebody has to pay. He didnt know he needed to erase the video that someone ELSE took and sent to him at the age of 18..what a horrible person. By the way, the cocks she was sucking didnt get in trouble..nor did the videographer. But lets target the star football player.

"Weed is in every dorm room".
-When is the last time you have been a college dorm?

"We have walkons caught with weed who are still on the team".
No excuse, a deflection.
-true statement but lets just call it an excuse.

Weed? Were you there, smoking? The story was paraphernalia. And he does get his day in court. I just forgot for a minute that you said you just got out of high school and know it all just like most everyone else your age. Try to read some facts and have some semblance of accuracy. Listening to you, someone would think he coerced some foreign president or something.

And, apparently you have an in with SF, and know exactly what the infraction was for the suspension. Otherwise you wouldn't be so certain about how bad mw's character is, right?

I was in the military 25 1/2, but I didn't ever notice drinking made better soldiers. On the contrary, from what I had observed. Science says alcohol kills brain cells, and they need all the brain cells they can maintain, especially with the number of tbi's with kevlar helmets
