It might be a legitimate question about whether or not Washington can be a starter/carry the load back in this system like Oz has been this year. We'll have to see how his S&C comes along after another year, but at worst he's a nice change of pace guy who can come in after the starter

NU has two 4* and another 5.7 3* coming in 2019, plus Mo and Miles Jones. Maybe Jaylin steps up his game and gets in the mix. I would hope 2-3 P5 worthy backs emerge out of that group.

I love me some 28, but I’m getting the sense that dude’s got a little drama to him. Not sure, even after another 20 pounds, that’s he’s going to be a mainstay.

I just have the impression he's beat up and not looking for contact right now. We'll just have to wait and see how it goes next year.

Not gonna knock the kid but we need Mo Wash to step up big time next year. We have him and Mills coming in. Next season will be the first, to my recollection anyway, that we haven't had a somewhat proven back in the stable back on campus. We will miss what Devine has brought us this year. It seems every year we have an RB who's seen good reps behind another proven back and breaks out the following year.. Anyway I have faith in the kid and that next year will be a big step for him. I always cringe tho when I see Mo get tackled.. it's like his legs tend to fold awkwardly when he goes down.. he does have a long stride so perhaps that's it.

He has 427 yards on 69 carries... Averages over 6 yards a touch. How many more carries and yards does he need to get “good reps”?

I think he has done plenty to warrant excitement for next year, and to say he hasn’t proven himself, well, I question that.

When will he have done enough for you to consider him proven?

Right now I don’t think he’s the every down back in a physical sense but next season that could change. He was our latest addition, is a true freshman and has done well this season. I can only assume that next season he’ll have some more
meat on his bones and be physically ready to take the starting role.

He’s going to be damn good though and I see no reason to question our RB situation for the next few uears..

From watching Oz the past couple of years did anybody think he would be where he is now. What Washington comes in as next year may be completely different than what we see now.

I think he needs about 20 pounds and less dancing.

One thing of concern is that he got caught on the long run where he broke out. I don't see him getting faster in the future.

He was limping after fair catching the opening kickoff. There are times he doesn't fight for yards and just eases up.

I haven't noticed him doing much easing up.

Oz is breaking big runs rather than slapping his hands on the turf after getting tackled after 8-12 yards, which was a big run for him last year. Mo could be a chunk run machine after a full year with Duval.
