Love his leadership. We need guys who are going to push each other to be the best they can be, and he’s been vocal about being one of those guys.
The HOL podcast last week mentioned how Damian Jackson (not surprising) and Chris Walker (mildly surprising) have emerged as leaders in the weight room.
Even if they’re not seeing all the playing time, I love seeing guys find a role to help the team. That stuff absolutely makes a difference.
One team=one mission.

I really hope this will be the type of team to get up 21-28 early on S. Ala, N. Ill, and maybe even Colorado so Jackson can get some snaps and maybe work himself into some more playing time.

Because he was one of the best players on a lousy defense. Attention is paid to players on good defenses. Players on bad teams rarely get attention (other than from NFL scouts).

Your way off there my man. OU Sooners, OSU Buckeyes are just a couple teams that had defenses worst then ours (at least a stat wise). OU only had 5 teams worse then themselves at 124th ranked defense in the country and OSU was 93rd rank or worse. And they tend to have their defensive players noticed. Simply put, elite players get noticed regardless how bad the team is. But then again....teams that run our style of offense tend to have bad defensive rankings....hmmm. Weird!

Barry was excellent and is in range to have a shot at All-B1G for sure. Better DL depth should make him look even better.

While this is nice and all, it usually is not a recipe for great results. We have all played team sports and we have all either been the "ra-ra" guy or seen the "ra-ra" guy that didn't really play. In the end your leaders and badasses can't be dudes that don't play.
