MLB first: same player plays for both teams in the same game

I remember a player a few years ago being traded at the end of the game to the team they were playing.
Basically walked across the hallway and
“welcome to your new team”

It hasn’t happened yet, but it’ll happen Monday.

The craziest part is that Jansen was the batter for the Blue Jays when the game was suspended. When the game resumes on Monday, he’ll be the catcher for the Red Sox in the same at bat.

SO…he will participate in the same at bat for opposing teams…
