For those who follow baseball recruiting, it seems like the AVG on Perfect Game is a better judge on your class than total points. If you go off total points it's basically whoever signs the most guys. Going off avg player, we signed a top 5 class if you count the drafted guys. And Mississippi's highly touted class last year seems to be so highly thought of due to its sheer numbers as well

Jordan Anderson has really dropped also. After last summer MLB.com had him as the #17 overall high school prospect coming out. Obviously that fell some during his senior year(you can never really know how signability is involved with those moves). Was the #117 overall prospect leading into the MLB draft per MLB.com.

Per the MLB.com draft tracker, Mangum is the 13th highest rated prospect left on the board. Anderson is 16th...

Highest rated guy still on the board is Auburn signee Tanner Burns @ #39 overall. Looks like he's going to school...

Tyreque Reed drafted by the Rangers at the end of the 8th. Seems doubtful he makes it to Starkville.

That's a sub-$200k signing bonus area -- and he's a Cannizaro recruit. Should be interesting. In the old system I'd feel pretty good about him making it to school, but in this system it seems questionable at best.

Based on interviews I've read on him I wouldn't expect him to make it to school being a Top 10 round pick. Was hoping to get either Rivera or Reed to replace Rooker at 1B but looking like we won't get either.
