He started with football. He said the team is incredibly confident with themselves. They knew they were going to beat South Carolina on Saturday and they feel very good about Florida. He said that was different than in previous years, when we would get an unexpected win, but it was unexpected for the team too.

Then he moved on to basketball. He said this year's team is extremely likable. He said people around the program think this will be the fans' favorite team of the last few years.

As far as recruiting, he still thinks as of right now, we will get Quickley, Zion, Barrett. He said we may not get all three, but he believes as of right now that we will. Chances with Bol Bol are better than before. He also said that he thinks we might get some 2019 commitments earlier than usual. Oh, and he also reiterated that he thinks the Louisville banner still comes down.

He then closed the show by saying that there might be a really cool unexpected guest at the football game. Not a recruit; he did say Blue smith would be there. He didn't say who. I'm not sure, possibly John Wall?

He still thinks the Cats get Quickley, Barrettt, and Zion. The staff was worried about Zion for a little bit but think everything has been ironed out.

He thinks we may take some 2019 guys much earlier than usual.

There is a good chance of a special guest at the football game that people will love.

Quick recap:

-Said he expects Quickley to commit before BBM

-Feels good about Zion, was some nervousness for a few days, but staff feels good. This upcoming weekend visit will be huge.

-Still feels solid about Barrett. Does not care about his comments regarding his Duke visit. What kids say does not matter.

-Said that there's a chance UK does not get all 3 of Quickley, Zion, and RJ, but as of now he likes the chances of it happening.

-thinks Quickley signs before BBM (maybe Johnson too)
-Zion visiting this weekend.
-Still thinks good shape with Quickley, Zion, Barrett. May not get all three but not buying all Barrett's comments about dUKe visit. His basis is comments from coaches, analysts etc not believing the players comments about visits.
-Chances improving with Bol Bol.
-May see early 2019 signees (didn't specify)
-this year's team is "then nicest group in a while" according to those close to the program.
-Louisville banner will come down the only thing left is when they announce it.

FOOTBALL
-UK fb approached about high profile beginning of the season kickoff game in either 2020, 2021. No word on opponent or location.
-Team/coaches EXPECTED to beat USC jr, also EXPECT to beat uf, game close to a sellout.
-Blue Smith may visit this weekend, hoping to flip him from OSU
-Some concern about being able to run the ball effectively, look for more passing.
-Hinted at big special guest at the game Saturday ("if it happens the crowd will go nuts")

all I can remember for now.

He went out on a limb there. "he still thinks as of right now, we will get Quickley, Zion, Barrett. He said we may not get all three, but he believes as of right now that we will." So he believes we will get them unless we don't? Is that what he's saying?

The way I interpreted it, he said it as it was more likely that we get all 3 than miss on one or all of them.

Good call on Wall, isn't he supposed to be in town the same time as Zion?

The dreaded "as of right now" prediction, subject to the "things suddenly changed" ***-covering. As in the New York Times predicting the day before the election, "as of right now Hillary Clinton has a 98 percent chance of winning."

If Zion and Barrett come to UK, just mail the championship trophy to Lexington. I will just as if not more excited about those two than I was AD and MKG.

Randall Cobb and John Wall are being honored for the UK Hall of Fame this weekend. Either of them being there wouldn't be a surprise except for Cobb has a game Sunday

Not that it matters what I think and I don't have sources or anything more than assumptions, but I do believe Bol Bol will be a Wildcats. I can agree that people around him were displeased with him being excluded from Team USA. I'm sure he was even disappointed, but I don't think the young man himself wanted to remove the Cats from consideration. However, as we know, there was an extremely long period of time for the staff to turn that around.

Let's face it. No matter how much potential he has right now he's as big a project as there is because of his size. He can get away with it now, but that will also only get him so far, not in college, but in the pros. There is only 1 coach out there, and I don't care how great K is. There is only 1 coach out there than can help him realize his potential asap to help him on that level. That's Coach Cal.

I hope I'm right. Would be one of the most fun to watch transformations we've seen. I guess we'll know here soon. 7-8 months will go by quick.

Matt is 100% correct about you can't put any stock in what they say publicly.

These kids could come and say, I want a coach that gets players to the pros, I wanna wear blue, and I really want to live in a state that starts with the letter K. Only to pick Texas. Trying to read "recruit speak" to decipher the tea leaves as about as futile as it gets.

I thought Cobb and Wall were already supposed to be there because they are being inducted into the Hall of Fame. Am I wrong? I would think the special guest would be someone else then.
