I don't think it's the staff. They know the drill, they've been around, and actually done a fairly decent job in my opinion.

I think it's something in our football culture. This happens nearly every year. I just don't think we attract the flashy players....at all. And that's magnified with Leach at the helm, because he doesn't take their ****. Mullen was like this but not quite as persistent and knowledgeable of the process, and of course he had a different strategy of recruiting MS and the general area around it.
What has been the common theme since we had a top 15 class in 2002? I can’t put my finger on it.

Some on here still believe that college football recruiting is purely coaching, facilities and team history. Sad that they are so naive.

The staff? Ha. Amazing how few people realize that 90% of recruiting has jack **** to do with the coaching staff.

Never feel good about a MSU vs OM recruiting battle when the recruit in question has an initial name with a J. Always a flip to the bad guys. AJ, CJ, MJ, probably more that i'm forgetting.
