I know I don’t post much, because I don’t usually know much. But someone I know very close to the situation has told me the MJ Daniels is far from over. Apparently OM has come in late with a very strong “offer” and he’s considering flipping. As late as today MJ had not fully made up his mind.

The ol “We’d like to offer your a full paid scholarship to the flagship” offer. Presented by a stripper with a briefcase full of cash.

Really hoping this doesn’t happen - the strong thing was the surprise hit. I was ready for one bad surprise but don’t need 2 at positions of big need

Alright. Hope he signs with us but just don’t count your chickens. Not saying it’s done for OM either but I was told he’s more on the edge than we think.

MJ Daniels isn’t coming to Ole Miss. He just loves the recruiting game, obviously. And a portion of the fan base, on both sides, reads way too much into that. I’d venture a guess he’s 90% signing with MSU, 7% A&M and 3% Ole Miss.

Y’all are landing him and he’s a stud.

I hope you’re right. Seemed pretty up in the air to my friend, but hopefully he just enjoys the suspense and isn’t even truly opening up to those close to him.

In those parts it’s either Bama or MSU. it’s not an OM town The DL last year was a special case he attracted too much national attention-Which should give u an idea of the game that Jimbo plays

Yawn.

MJ's mind had been made up for a while and Ole miss finished third behind state and A&M, so please troll elsewhere.

Ole Miss got a “surprise” commitment from a 4Star UA All American WR from Texas last night, so I imagine that seals the deal on Daniels.

In fairness, that was in no way a surprise. He’s been a top WR recruit in this class since the day Kiffin was hired. And there were multiple crystal balls in for him.

If all three are calling it, the likelihood is he already sent in his LOI and OM is waiting for the right time to inflict maximum damage to MSU hearts.

The good news is those hat flipping types never really work out. I'm not saying Daniels is going to do that, we'll see soon enough. At the end of the day dude is a 3 star Safety.

He just liked a tweet from a 3 star Ole Miss commit (safety) that tweeted #StayInTheSip

So this guy is gonna end up being right.
Hard to not see the tea leaves. What's crazy is that it's an incredibly stupid decision, so my guess is that Daniels isn't too bright if he does in fact make the decision.

"All about dat BIZness, respect my decision", hahaha, stupid recruits

This staff has a lot to learn about recruiting in the SEC. A lot.

Getting absolutely worked in the last 24 hours by LSU and OM. The tradition continues.

I don't think it's the staff. They know the drill, they've been around, and actually done a fairly decent job in my opinion.

I think it's something in our football culture. This happens nearly every year. I just don't think we attract the flashy players....at all. And that's magnified with Leach at the helm, because he doesn't take their ****. Mullen was like this but not quite as persistent and knowledgeable of the process, and of course he had a different strategy of recruiting MS and the general area around it.

Do you really want MSU to be like LSU and UM in recruiting? I mean I guess we could find some insider to steal from Batson.***

The staff? Ha. Amazing how few people realize that 90% of recruiting has jack **** to do with the coaching staff.

“Football culture” = we are the poorest SEC public school by a country mile in terms of what we are both willing and capable to offer in the recruiting process, while also sharing the smallest SEC state with another school. This **** ain’t that hard to figure out. And there’s no fix for it, unfortunately. We have good recruiting classes when the underrated guys pan out, and we have bad ones when they don’t. We are going to lose the press conference on signing day for highly rated kids 80% of the time based on the above.
