Lot of noise that Drink is about to get a big time commitment.

Might know as early as today.

Bragging on a team you don’t play, in a different conference?

Yet it’s like one of 3 football threads out of the last 20 started here, 2 weeks from kickoff……

Give MIZ a break. If my team hadn’t won an outright conference title since 1962 like his team, I’d be bragging about new recruits too.

I live in Missouri, I hear nothing about Missouri football. The most underachieving athletic program in the country has done a rock solid job at continuing their traditions.

is he stealing one of Nebraska’s seven 3*’s or what’s the relevance here?
I would rather have seven 3 star guys who stay and contribute than seven 4 star guys half of whom stay for one year then transfer. Of course… the ideal would be seven 5 star guys who stick around.

So…was the “big commitment” the 5.6 3 Star who committed today?
Seriously? You consider that a “big commitment?”
And you thought it was so “big,” you started a thread on a Nebraska board to boast about it?
I feel a little sad for how bad recruiting must be that this is considered worth posting about…

LOL
Talk about living rent free in your head. You are posting trash talk to me at 0130 in the morning saying I’m running my mouth? I’ve noticed you just following me around being butthurt about anything I say.
Just want me to send you my number so you can drunk text me directly & skip the middleman?

Would you expect them to get much play on MSNBC?

You realize we don't play you guys anymore, right? Can't quite piece together the relevance.
The relevance is that for Nebraska to compete you need the recruits that you used to get, but are now going to Mizzou and other schools.

By the way.......,the #1 WR in the country is expected to decommit from Oklahoma today.

All signs point to Drink having flipped him to Mizzou. Might not commit to Mizzou today, but it’s happening.

Nope! I was referring to the #1 WR in the country and #6 player nationally that Drink is flipping from OU.

Missouri hasn’t finished above Nebraska in recruiting rankings since 2015. Yes, the recruiting to this point looks better on paper for 2021 from Missouri, but still months to signing day.

I just googled, "people who give a **** about Missouri football." The top 5 results were from sites in Missouri and the 6th was a buzzfeed article about how racist your school is. Does that about cover your relevance? Thanks for the laugh!

missouri has had the #1 WR recruit in the country before and didn't win anything with him. Congrats for possibly finishing 3rd in your division instead of 5th. you aren't going to compete with GA and FL on a regular basis.
drinkwitz LOL best recruiting pitch right now is its better to play in the SEC and lose than play somewhere else.
the recruits are buying it for now. but after they figure out being mediocre isnt what they thought it would be they will adjust to his sales pitch

Question for the locals - has anyone ever honestly had this thought or a similar one in their head...."Hey something good might be happening to Nebraska, I think I'll mosey on over to the Mizzou board and see what they think of our good fortune"? Yeah I didn't think so either....

A) Nebraska has out recruited Mizzou 10 of the past 11 years.

B) He is going to Georgia, not Mizzou.

I’ve see this meth addict refer to ‘drink’ tons of times with zero clue what he was talking about. Figured it was just redneck-speak.

When did Gary pinkel retire? Definitely news to me

“didn’t win anything with him”

Not sure I would go that far. Won an SEC East title, Cotton Bowl, and finished #5 in the final AP Poll in 2013.

Goals are set higher, but that’s far from “didn’t win anything with him”.

If Luther Burden goes to Georgia, I’ll never post again.

If Luther Burden goes to Mizzou, you never post again.

Are you willing to put your money where your mouth is?
