Yep. We will. We will finish top 3 of our conference and compete with the top 2 if not beat them and you will likely finish 4 or 5th

Acr, Asheville, Erwin, TCR then McDowell is my guess but I really can’t say for sure since I haven’t seen any of them

This may not be much of a game without Turbyfill. wat
auga is pretty stacked this year from what I am hearing from some coaches.

Should be a slugfest. Watauga wants revenge for the home winning streak ender last year. We know from the long view this game does not mean as much as conference games or playoffs for sure and you never want someone injured worse than they are. I think we will still line up and compete with the men that are fit for it. 4A vs 1A they don't want that pride hurt 2 years in a row. :)

While Turbyfill doesn’t have a broken bone. Another starting skill position player that was thought to have had a high ankle sprain, does in fact have a broken bone and will be out for “a while”. Another starting skill position player will still be out as well dealing with injury so all is definitely not well in the land of Purple. None the less I expect them to play hard and complete with the healthy bodies they have.
Just hope some or all is healthy by playoff time.

Well someone who talked to his sister she told them that medical cleared Turbyfill to play. Just hope whatever it is playing doesn't make it worse.

He is cleared to play practicing in a boot, Cook is preparing as well it's up in the air, our big dogs though will play, I honestly care more about beating Andrew's than Watauga so I hope they w ac it till Ty is 100% before he takes snaps, that's my take on it

If my info is correct I think the WHC is up for grabs. I believe Draughn would be the favorite and Owen will challenge them. I think Mitchell would slide in at 3rd without a healthy Turbyfill the Heritage Madison Avery Rosman
Draughn will not be the favorite

Practicing and playing in a boot? That's a first for me. Is the even a thing, I'm asking in all seriousness.

Right I got more detail on it a while ago.
No way I would play him. An right Andrews much more important being another 1A which could affect playoff seating and if he played that game I'd wouldn't play him in the Madison game unless needed which I don't think he would be

Mitchell by 7 all the Trump signs will mess with the Wataugians
Most Boone natives are republican. The college has given watauga a liberal image. I will say Appalachian states' growth has hurt Boone as a place to raise a family. Part of the reason I moved to Tennessee. I'm actually gonna make the trip and I'm excited. I think this will be one heck of a ball game. We can compare 1A to 4A all day long, but attendance numbers don't substitute for great coaching and heart. Look at Shelby and their dominance for so long. Thomasville. AL Brown. Reidsville. Lincolnton. Etc etc. I love what Pittman has done at Mitchell. Gets the most out of his players and there are definitely some talented young men there.

Checking in from Ennis Montana! So to alleviate the rumor mill, Turbyfill won't be playing tonight, or the next couple weeks. It's a minor sprain, but the team feels a state championship is more important than a non conference game.
I feel Watauga will win by 2 touchdowns tonight, but in the words of a Mitchell coach; "Ain't no mountain to a climber!"

I hate to hear that. A high ankle sprain can be hard to deal with pending on severity. Mitchell will be fine with all the horses they have. Andrews had both backs banged up last year and I know it cost us 2 conference games that I believe we would have won with both being healthy. It’s part of the game but dang I hate it for the kids, especially seniors

I heard it was bruised. I think it’ll still be closer than people think
He was cleared medically, but the next two week will be rough hard hitting games. Our boys will be fine. The team doesn’t live or die with turbyfill this year. He of course is a vital piece of the puzzle, but no more so than anyone else. The passing game won't be there tonight, but Chad and Gage will get their supper on the ground. I'd say ball control will be the game plan for tonight, keep Watauga's offense off the field, and chew the clock. If Mitchell can get 3 yards a carry, and 0 turnovers they can absolutely win. And I'd say Chad will be kicking a couple of those 45 yarders...

I’ve heard he’s improving a lot each day. He’s able to play tonight, but this game is not that crucial. Should be good to go in a couple of weeks.

We're about the head over the hill. Hope everyone has a safe trip there. I think this game is gonna be good for both programs. Both teams are gonna learn about themselves a lot tonight. Mitchell with it's depth from injuries. Watauga with how it can compete with upper competitors from state. I don't see classification as a measuring stick. Let's get it Pioneers. On,Watauga!!!!

I hope he scores tds we gonna need em, my buddy at work showed me scrimmage footage of Watauga against McDowell and McDowell outperformed them, 8 tds to 5 I know it was just a scrimmage and Watauga may have held back, just saying, anyway we have too many hurt right now so the odds are against us tonight

Someone told me Wednesday that he would put #13 at QB. I hate they don't feel that Cook couldn't do it ,including Ty the last three QB's Mitchell had started as sophomores one started as a freshman.

Well I thought we'd get #4 Duncan back next week but noticed his on crutches ends up his leg or foot is broken.
