Mitchell should win, comfortably. The Mountaineers should dominate on the line, and if the defense contains the edges, then I don't see Erwin moving the ball much. Of course, it's the first game of the season, and it's on the road, so anything could happen.

Hard to say, I heard Mitchell looked awful at the scrimmage last fri, Erwin will have speed, but no qb, defensive play will be key
Someone who was there said you couldn't really tell anything from the scrimmage other than he thought Enka maybe an improved team this year with a good QB and Turbyfill hardly even played. And one of the volunteer staff said it was basically a practice with another team that Mitchell played every player they have ,so it was hard to tell anything.

You are correct they are really turning on the intensity at practice this week! It should
be a good one in Erwin! In scrimmages no one can tell a whole lot anyways. Most of the coaches go a little stingy on the play calling for the most part. It also important to get all the players some reps even if it’s a play they can grasp the fast tempo on the varsity level.

Well Avery's 1090 yard rusher from last year transferred to Mitchell so that should help in that area.
We are a year or two from being just like Avery, everyone has jumped on the bandwagon our own kids are quitting because of it, it starts in rec league we need to get away from daddy ball Brock is doing good trying we need young guys coaching to keep it rolling

Kid from Avery is a hell of a kicker but he ain't much else. Let's be honest he had a thousand yards at Avery. He'll probably help them though but I don't see it being a whole lot. Just like the kid we got from Minnesota who was supposed to be the savior. He might not even start for us. So Mitchell got a good kicker that's for sure. And I'm sure they're going to be pretty good. All this talk about passing. They don't need to pass. They need to do what they always do. Line up and come at you.

I was kinda looking at it different way, when I see a RB having 1000 yards on a 1-10 team I tend to think I wonder what he could have done on a good team. But I don't think Mitchell hoping for him to save the running game while the highest rusher did graduate 3 of the 4 main RB's are returning and 2 were sophomores last year so I've seen good players improve quite a bit in their JR year over their SO year. But heck I like the fact he's a good kicker which is a weapon in high school football there's more schools with good RB's than good kickers.
As far as passing while yes they will always be a run first team but I would like to see Mitchell opening it up more it doesn't have to be bombs down field but short passes just behind the LB's not just bubble screens in the championship game they were to predictable plus while he's going to get his runs in they need something to where you don't put every game on the QB's legs.

Mitchell big.
They really didn't lose anyone from last year.
Going back and reading yalls past stuff and you knowing 95s kid graduated last year can’t help but say this was a pretty sorry post. Your throwing off on a kid by saying this not the person you have an issue with. Just my opinion and probably none of my business but his kid was a hell of a player ….back to football.

Are you the one I watch the game with a few years ago and last year?
No I wasn’t able to make the Mitchell Robbinsville games. And while I’ve always agreed with a lot of your posts on charters in 1a basketball I thought that one was pretty low.

He honestly was a good qb I thought same style as Turbyfield he will definitely help especially kicking pretty versatile player but nowhere near the baller like 3 of the ones we graduated

Yeah its personal with BK a dad posted a video on here of a hit on mine which you dont do and BK cant stop bringing it up a earhole shot on mine, concussion and yet he played the rest of the game, these guys take pleasure in seeing kids get hurt over all else, I have no respect for BK he acted terribly when we beat em at Mitchell last year and he gets me stirred up so I go on a tangent as most would, he is an arrogant prick at best no love lost, I will move on but wont forgot all of his smart remarks for sure, and the other homies who stood by idly taking his smart bs remarks, it's pretty bad when the Burnsville boys start calling you out, lol

Long as I’ve known ya I don’t think the Mitchell Yancey thing applies even if our boys did beat each other up lol.

Jvs got blown out by Robbinsville tonight 38-6 just like I thought hope they get better
yeah I hope they do better as well. I know it was a different format before last year but it's odd except for the 2017-18 Mitchell has hardly ever had a good JV season but once they're in varsity it seems to turn around.
