Mitch and Cal could not be any more different. Those have to be some interesting encounters.
Figures as much. His history here is always being cautious about every single thing. However I think we are screwed with NIL regardless. The big time money sets up perfectly for schools like UCLA and Illinois that have fans in large metropolitan areas with numerous more companies and opportunities to choose from.
For instance one player can get a nice sponsporship from Porsche here but what about in LA... that same player can get multiple different deals with different companies. There’s more out there to be made bottom line

To be fair…I get Mitch’s stance and most coaches aren’t fans of the process in general
But at this point…either step away like Roy Williams snd Jay Wright have done since neither wanted to deal with NIL and portal nonsense…or embrace it. Trying to stick it out while being stubborn is only going to end all football momentum and further erode rhe basketball program
