If you rooted for UNO last night, are you considered a Mavsker?
I am in the the camp that if they make the dance, the bars will be way more fun that day in OmahaSo we can only root for one team in Nebraska?
I’m not in that camp and I’m as big Husker fan as any.

Well UNO could win a few games in the Dance. Wouldn’t that be special! In Lincoln! GBRBecause I got to sick of the fake outrage of the UNO football fans...I would love to see UNO make the dance! This is basically why the change was made, getting to the dance and losing in the first round is a bigger/better deal than pretty much anything else that UNO could do.
apparently so.So we can only root for one team in Nebraska?

A homer? What if you like Creighton and UNO but not NU? Are you a Jayverick? a Mavjay?
'Should be consistently' ????If UNO wins a NCAA tourney game before the Huskers do, man does that ratchet up the pressure and heat down there in Lincoln. No excuses for Nebraska. They should be consistently better. Regularly making the NCAA's and winning games in the big dance.
StopWhat if you like Creighton and UNO but not NU? Are you a Jayverick? a Mavjay?
But it doesn’t take near as long to turnover a basketball roster and get competitive, heck it really only takes a couple players. If Miles hasn’t “rebuilt” it by now, I don’t see any reason to think he will. Our history isn’t changing and our facilities aren’t getting newer.'Should be consistently' ????
If we think Frost has a rebuild, BB is not even in the stratosphere.
history and tradition mean something in college sports. in over 100 years Nebraskaball has earned a spot right there with Northwestern, Rutgers, and PSU. A BIG seperation form the the bottom dwellars to rest of the pack.
Team / NCAA / Final Fours / Tourn Record
Northwestern 1 /0 / 1-1
Rutgers / 6 / 1 / 5-7
Nebraska 7 / 0 / 0-7
Penn State / 9 / 1 / 9-11
Minn / 13 / 1 / 13-13
Wisconsin / 23 / 4 / 38-22
Iowa / 25 / 3 / 29-27
Maryland / 27 / 2 / 41-26
Mich / 27 / 2 / 54-26
Purdue / 29 / 2 / 37-29
Illinois / 30 / 5 / 40-31
MSU / 31 / 9 / 64-30
OSU / 31 / 11 / 55-30
Indiana / 39 / 8 / 66-34
For giggles, and teethnashing
Creighton / 20 / 0 / 12-21
Not a way in the world!!! This year I have TWO crummy teams to support! But when push comes to shove .... HUSKERRRRBetter than a Shocksker

On top of being a damn good coach, Derrin Hansen is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet.Go Mavericks! The Mavs played the U of I in Moscow this season and I was so happy to see someone from Nebraska play that I bought a Mav t shirt and screamed my head off the entire game! It also gave me a great chance to explain the University of Nebraska and it's various campuses to folks in Idaho. The Mavs and coaches looked pretty surprised to see someone giving them high 5's when they entered the court. I told them I grew up in Omaha (but didn't have the heart to tell them I graduated from Lincoln.)
Is he funny though? On top of being a damn good coach, Derrin Hansen is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet.
I'm afraid he doesn't tweet at halftime and isn't an amateur comedian. I think that's a deal breaker to a lot of people around here. That and I think Moos has his eyes set on bigger fish.Is he funny though?
This made me chuckle...I've been called a fake fan....phony fan...bad fan...not a fan...floor fan maybe....and a troll (and probably more) by those "true fans" on this message board.Nor am I but be careful, you may incur the wrath of the supposedly "true" Husker fan.
The message board police left with riley. A lot less butthurt on here now.
UNO and SDSU wouldnt win a single game in the Big Ten.
Conversely, Rutgers, Northwestern, Nebraska, Indiana, Penn State, and this current ****** Creighton team would all go undefeated in the Summit.
Nana Atkenken would average 12 ppg in the Summit.
Thomas Allen would be the Summit Player of the Year.
I will mildly disagree. I think SDSU would win a few games in the Big Ten - not a lot, but a few. The way some Big Ten teams are playing these days, I just don't see the Jackrabbits going 0-20.UNO and SDSU wouldnt win a single game in the Big Ten.

There's still some vaginal and clitoral hurt lurking with the last of the miles apologists. The message board police left with riley. A lot less butthurt on here now.
stop. He exaggerated but no doubt, the Summit league is no where near the competition level of the B1G. No doubt UNO or SDSU would pick off some wins IF they were in the B1G.There's still some vaginal and clitoral hurt lurking with the last of the miles apologists.
I would pick Omaha and SDSU over PSU, N'Western, and probably Nebraska if they were playing today.stop. He exaggerated but no doubt, the Summit league is no where near the competition level of the B1G. No doubt UNO or SDSU would pick off some wins IF they were in the B1G.
They would be interesting games at the very least. Anybody could win those. What befuddles me a little bit is how some of these teams find the shooters they have? Why does not NU have a guy who is just automatic from 3 if you give him an inch? It seems like most of the teams in the B1G have a guy like that including the bottom dwellers.I would pick Omaha and SDSU over PSU, N'Western, and probably Nebraska if they were playing today.
I understand all that. I'm just saying that if you sent 10 Big Ten teams into Brookings this year to face this SDSU team, all 10 are not going to get a W. I suspect SDSU could also steal a win or two on the road (like at Indiana, for example, where everybody seems to win lately). Daum obviously wouldn't light up the Big Ten the way he does the Summit, but he would still put up points. And David Jenkins, in my opinion, would be the best or second-best guard on quite a few Big Ten teams. What a moronic premise. If SDSU and UNO were in the BiG TeN, they would have much bigger budgets, different coaches, different players, etc etc.
