One has to wonder how often such deceptions are thrust upon the viewing audience.
This brings to mind the Weather Channel guys during a hurricane - I think it was Mike Seidel, standing astride in a pose, fighting against the hurricane force winds - then just over his shoulder a couple of guys go strolling by.
Another was a news woman in a canoe, rowing through "deep" flood waters - then two guys walk into the picture and you can see the water is only a couple inches deep. The canoe was bottomed out and not even moving.
A cynical person would have to wonder just how much news that we see broadcast is believable.
Every day. Every single day. Mainstream news (and I include Fox) is propaganda, not news. One has to wonder how often such deceptions are thrust upon the viewing audience.

Biased news isn’t a new phenomenon. In what was possibly the nastiest election in U.S. history fake stories were planted in the newspapers that caused hatred between persons who were once good friends. And I’m not talking about Trump v Clinton in 2016. I’m speaking of John Adams and Thomas Jefferson in 1800. That election sewed pure hatred. I’m glad the two friends made up and repaired their friendship before they both died on July 4th, 1826.
This is very true, throughout our political history there has been considerable amount of animosity between the political parties and reported by the local printed press. The difference today is that internet based social media has exasperated the problem and it's reach is everywhere not isolated in a small area reached by print media or telegraph. Technology carries a burden of responsibility but is hard to control in a free society.
