I didn't think D-1 teams could play except in "secret" scrimmages, and the media is not allowed to attend.

Is it an exhibition?

Yes - it's a exhibition game for charity - kind of like the upcoming UK/Morehead State. There is actually a PPV link on-line which is probably much better resolution.

Since the NCAA is allowing them to do a pay-per-view for this, I would assume UK is going to do something similar? Word is they have raised an additional couple hundred thousand for this game just with the PPV.

I think Missouri is going to be better than I expected this year. Porter Jr. looks like hot garbage though. Where are they picked in the pre-season SEC poll?

It’s a joke. I like getting jackasses like RC riled up, not that I owe a pecker head like you an explanation.
You don't call someone names who points out your obvious ignorance about charity games, maybe you need to be whisked away in a hurricane.

Looks like the Missouri Porters couldn't handle Mason and the Jayhawks. Looks like it wasn't too serious of a game from what I'm reading, like a glorified scrimmage. I won't cast any stones until we get Baker/Vanderbilt back.

It was pretty intense for a scrimmage as it had the largest crowd ever the the Spring Center in KC split evenly down the middle of KU and MIzzou fans. Michael Porter forced a lot of bad shots but scored 21 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 23 minutes and Jontay Porter scored 9 and got 12 rebounds in 21 minutes. Missouri outrebounded KU in total and 19-10 on the offensive glass.

I'm not suggesting that KY has anything to worry about at the top of the league, but I would expect Mizzou to be very competitive with most of the rest of the teams in the league.

kus has great guards and wings. Depth is going to be a problem for them though. Yeah i know they have another transfer(imagine that) waiting to play this year.

Yah but they only have 8 scholarship players until then. Not sure what the rest of their OOC schedule looks like besides Champions Classic, but that’s pretty darn thin for any team that hopes to make any kind of noise. I mean really, 8 guys? Just get any one of them in foul trouble, doesn’t matter which, and they’ll be done.

Missouri has a really nice team this year, talent-wise. I think their defense is going to lag well behind their offense. Kansas is likely to have the same issue. Provided that Diallo locks in on defense, I think we match up well to Missou. Can match strength on strength by putting guys like Knox and (hopefully) Vanderbilt on Porter, without having to play anyone out of position, and most switches won't immediately create a mismatch that favors Porter, the way they would for most teams.
