After next week's win over Georgia they will be #1 and then have a bye before losing to us.

Georgia will throttle Kentucky like they did at Auburn today. It will be just a matter if Kentucky can stop Georgia but anything seems to be possible. The Covid year giving everyone another year of eligibity and transfer portal have really changed things this season but after that ND game Georgia has been solid as a rock. I really hate that because those 17ers are smug as hell.

I don’t know about all that but this has been a great season. So much movement in the ranks and upsets, this is the stuff I watch college football for. I think the transfer portal is helping create some of it.

There is absolutely no way to make that argument. It won’t happen but bama should realistically still be ranked above Iowa. And I thought Iowa looked pretty damn good today, but it’s simply not SEC level good.

Alabama just lost to an unranked team that has losses to Arkansas (4-2) and Mississippi State (3-2). They’re gonna move down the rankings.

Bama’s first loss to an unranked team since 2007. On paper, that’s a bad loss.

Iowa is hard to watch offensively and they played a QB at Penn St who was as lost as I've ever seen a D1 QB.

If the polls take themselves seriously then undefeated Iowa just had a much better win than UGA and they were only one spot ahead of Iowa. We can all argue eyeball test, UGA would probably beat Iowa, but as rankings go Iowa should move ahead of UGA.

If you watched the game, you'd know PSU's QB got hurt and the only reason Iowa won was that PSU's backup was AWFUL. Iowa might fall below Cincy this week. And after struggling next week with Purdue they'll be behind Oklahoma because he narrative will shift on them now that they've benched Spencer Rattler.

Unfortunately, the cards are falling perfectly for uga. The year that it matters to play UK, the cats have to travel to athens. Don't see that ending well for stoops but + 1 on the weirdness that's in the mail.

I watched the game, that’s why I made the comment about the eyeball test. UGA looks better and I think they would beat Iowa. My argument was based upon the quality of wins and wether the rankings matter. If they do, #3 beating #4 is far better than #2 beating whatever rank Auby was and therefore it should create more movement in the next rank.

Yeah, there is a way to make that argument. I disagree with it and think UGA should be 1, but there is a way to make that argument. And Bama sure as **** shouldnt be ranked ahead of Iowa. Bama may beat Iowa 19 out of 20 times, but that isnt what the in-season rankings represent. Never has been.

Penn State had to have help to beat Auburn. They are a average team. Iowa barely beat that team... College football is down nation wide. Neither of those three teams mention would be Bama. Every other season seems like Saban loses a game he should not lose and goes on to win the SEC West. A&M is still not a great team. They caught Bama at the right night at home. It was a fire in the pan for them.
