About to leave for Starkville but wanted to share this observation before I get on the Mississippi highways from hell. My wife and I just got back from a trip out west. We drove 5,000 miles and visited 13 States. It just made me more aware of how terrible drivers are around here. Must of the west has speed limits of 75 and even 80. Zero issues with other drivers doing stupid crap. We get back home and it’s back to normal. We have had 4 “near misses” in the last week. All because of someone doing something stupid, and yes it has been discussed before multiple times but people doing 45 in the left lane. We should hang a banner. When it comes to dumb drivers, we truly are national champions. BTW, trip was wonderful. We try to go out west at least once a year. Trout fishing in Yellowstone, animal watching, etc. saw 2 wolves and 2 grizzlies this trip. Coolest thing this year was a couple of nights in Cody. Went to Jeremiah Johnson’s grave site to pay our respects. Also saw his rifle and knife at the Buffalo Bill museum there in Cody. Headed back to Wyoming in about 4 weeks on an antelope hunt. Everyone be safe and go dawgs.
