From the article:

"One of the biggest pleasant surprises on our journey took place in Starkville last October as the Bulldogs pulled off a major upset over Clemson."

Please stop linking this craptastic site here.

The WORST "journalism" in sports are these subjective ranking articles. Further proof that any idiot with a keyboard can "publish" "articles".

It's the same old rankings over and over again and it really is stupid.

Regurgatation of old sterotypes for the most part.

Other than the fact that we didn't play ClemPson, I generally agree with our ranking. I think it depends on the game and the season, but we typically might average anywhere from 6-10 in terms of stadium atmosphere. Back in the Dak days, I'd almost be willing to put our stadium environment at top 3-4 in the SEC. But most of the time it's around 6-10 depending on the game.

Most people who have never been to Starkville or have not been there in the past 15 years are pleasantly surprised when they finally make the trip. It's come a long long way during that time period. We certainly have our issues, but in some ways Starkville is a hidden gem of a college town.
