I don't see a win up there for the Huskers, offense right now is flat out anemic. Defense is playing better, but if the offense can't help them out, the defense will start to wither down the stretch. Hope I'm wrong.

looking like a cold snowy, mix Saturday evening in Minneapolis. Should be a cluster of fun.

Early forecast is for rain and snow in the morning changing to rain in the afternoon..’High of 38 snow showers expected after Midnight..

Going to be a cold night game and will favor their strong running game..

Have you watched them play?

Nebraska averages about 40 yards a game and a yard per carry more on the ground than Minnesota. Minnesota ranks like 70th in rushing yards per game.

Yes I have they grind it out and make plays in the passing game with quality wide receivers.. Our running game is from big plays and theirs is pound pound pound with that huge offensive line..

Im afraid youre right, however we have installed versions of The power I and wing sets and in a weather game that may be key, also Minny not seeing much of it may be key. I say we throw less than 20 pass attempts and rely on D to not let them make plays on 3rd down.

Their defense is suspect. They haven’t played an FBS team with a winning record and are still giving up 5 yards per play.

This is just the typical build up of an opponent to excuse poor play or a potential loss.

Our offense is a hot mess. These type of game usually hurt the offense more than the D. So I think it will actually benefit us more than MN.

Living in the twin cities, prior to this game with Illinois and the rushing explosion, all I have heard on sports radio is that Minnesota should be better with the run than they are. They may have a bit imposing line, but they haven’t done much with it. Sounds a little familiar, if you ask me... I don’t think their run game is as good as people may think.

I’m more concerned about Morgan at QB. Will the 23-24 passing with 400 yards against Purdue show up, or will it be the one who started 1-9 with a pick 6 against Illinois yesterday? If he has a good game we could be in trouble.

What? I was ASSured just last week that it was going to be a balmy 50 degrees after they announced an evening kickoff. HOW could it be cold and snowy in Minneapolis in October?

Not saying that we will win, but Minny could easily be 2-3 or 1-4. I give them credit for winning in the end, but they have not been dominant at all.

It will be what it is. But for the last two years the weather tends to ride north.

It will be a close game. Neither team is that much better than the other. Once again, it will come down to turnovers and penalties. Rinse and repeat.

Hearing first half of the game the wind will be SW at 15-20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph early in the game.
Snow showers are likely during the game with a coating of a inch..

Wind will decrease to 10-15 as the night goes on..

Whichever team runs the best between the tackles tomorrow wins. I'm not so confident in the big red being able to do that.

As far as I can tell, Mohamad Ibrihim is their "plow" RB so even though Rodney Smith is their feature back, I expect that Ibrihim will get more carries than usual Saturday night. Shannon Brooks too. Those guys go about 220.

1. Nebraska has a MUCH better defense than Purdue. The Boilermakers are Rutgers bad on that side of the football.

2. Temps will be in the mid 30's with mixed precipitation and steady wind all game. Morgan is not Aaron Rogers. The passing game will be substantially neutralized. They will still make some plays because their wideouts are exceptional. But if Minnesota has to throw the ball that much, its a benefit to the Huskers.

I don't disagree with what you have put, but we have our own set up problems. I remember your write-up on Colorado that I thought was spot on, and then we just go out and lay an egg in the second half. Until that happens, Minnesota is and should be the favorite and their QB is putting up pretty darn good numbers. Not much of an arm but is accurate.

I never said anything about Nebraska being the favorite. I just think it will be really difficult for either team to throw the ball successfully on Saturday night. Its virtually impossible for any QB, including Tom Brady, to go 23 of 24 passing with heavy cross winds, temps in the 30s and steady mixed precipitation. And the forecast is pretty consistent a day out. Its going to be raining steadily for most of the first half, and changing to snow after halftime.

Tanner Morgan and Vedral are both going to have issues in the passing game.
