If Vedral starts or plays a substantial part of the game, it will be interesting to see how he performs. You're right, he could be a spark. However, a young and relatively inexperienced QB making his first start in a hostile environment is usually a perilous proposition under normal conditions. Adverse weather conditions makes it that much more difficult IMO. That is why I predicted different outcomes depending upon which QB plays.
Vedral is not young nor inexperienced, outside of bunch he is the oldest guy in the qb room. He has the most experience (3 years I believe) in Frosts system of any QB here. Now I agree live game action is different than practice. Although I do believe he started a game or 2 at UCF. I honestly have little concern with Vedral and have a feeling the offense will operate even more smoothly with him. Add to that MN will have little to no game film on him, so going to be very hard to plan for him and pin point his tendencies.

Iowa will never be any better than they are this year and deep down they know it.. best Iowa team ever got rolled by Stanford like they weren’t even there... if you know that is your best, it doesn’t leave much to do except talk smack to other teams...

Unfortunately I see several turnovers and bad field position most of the night. Defense plays fairly well again, all things considered. Sucks losing to the Golden Gophers.

His tendency is to tuck and run IMO, very little patience in the pocket... however I will confess that I did not watch him play all that much when he was at UCF.

I would not dispute his knowledge of Frost's offense. I just believe that a road game in the B10 is a different animal, something bigger than what he has experienced so far, Like I said before, I don't believe its a close call - if Martinez is cleared, he is by far the best QB; if its Vedral it will be interesting to see how he performs.

minny's running game eats up quite a bit of clock.
I know they have some good running backs, but what I hear on the radio up here in the twin cities is that the line hasn’t done much for their rushing attack. Through 5 games they have 795 rushing yards, including 332 against Illinois. Take away the 332 and they average 115 rushing yards a game. That does include the TFLs, so if you remove those, then they average 159 a game through those first 4 games.

And that’s against teams like South Dakota State and Georgia Southern. So I’m not convinced their rushing attack, even though their RBs are talented, is gonna run roughshod against us.

No dog in this fight but it will be absolutely miserable at the game. Fleck has had his skill players immerse their hands in ice water during practice to prepare for this game. Bring about twenty pounds of your warmest clothes and warmers everywhere. This will be a real test for both squads. Good luck. :D

Shocking.
Why is that? I picked Nebraska to slaughter SA and was wrong. I was dead on with my prediction of the OSU game. I even put money on Minnesota so I’m not trolling.

Holding the worst offense in FBS to 10 points and barely winning that game at home does not impress me and the Nebraska offense has not been good. The weather might keep it down a bit so maybe 27 to 13 might be a little closer than 34-17.

Get ready for a few more..
It could happen. Franklin is 0-6 against ranked opponents on the road at PSU. Night games at Kinnick are usually super close expect for a fluke play from Wisconsin to end last years game and make it 11 points. I’d bet on Iowa winning being more likely than Nebraska but both are dogs.
