This could be a "special ed" or "pillow fight" version of the Wisconsin/Michigan game where these rodents run rampant on us in a poor man's revenge contest. Nebraska better come out prepared because I have a feeling the rodents have the emotional edge and big time.

Yep, couldn’t stand the thread with Minnisota spelling.

Some thoughts: game is going to be cold and snowy but we did well in games like that last year. (Michigan State comes to mind)

No matter how I sliced the stats, there just isn’t enough data on Minnesota to make a determination on how good they are. They seem solid but have not encountered anyone decent yet. I dropped SDSU out of the stats so they only have 4 games to review. They could be world beaters but the just isn’t enough data to tell. If they were really good they would have been blowing out their opponents but have not been. If we had their schedule we would most likely be undefeated..

Sooo. I’m going with a tossup game with offenses slowed by the cold. Minnesota gives up points and our defense can slow their offense to allow us to capitalize.

Huskers 27-21

Thoughts?
All of MN fans are spewing that MN kept the play calling very simplistic for all non conf games, hence why they just got by. Then they opened it up for Illinois. If that is true, did they not open it up for Purdue either? Personally I think it is BS excuse. They just played like crap. So, yes hard to know for sure what team we will be facing. I see some making a big deal out of us potentialy missing Martinez and JD. Neither have played out of this world. Vedral looked good last week. In my opinion I think we will be ok. I see this being a very close game, giving the slight edge to MN. In a cold and snowy game I see our D shutting down MN offense to an extent. This has potential to be another boring game. 21-17 NEB

The team has played like crap at times, but has still found a way to win. This is what is promising. In the past, the team would have folded like a cheap tent. What I see is that the lines are starting to gel, and the team is growing and improving. Will it be enough to win this week? As a Gopher fan, I can only hope. We know that our Gophers will need to step up/ change their best to win! Should be a very good game against an opponent we respect!

Cheers!

Are you from Hastings Minnesota?

BTW Regarding the bold, you wouldn't be a fan if you did not feel that way! This Saturday night, I will be hoping for the opposite result, but otherwise, I wish the Huskers well! I am just a greedy Gopher fan wishing the best for my Gophers!

Cheers!

The D-Line needs to play well and make the Minny QB get it out quick.

No I am from Nebraska. But I do head up to the North woods once a year. My favorite vacation spot.

We were up 21 in the 4th quarter against Purdue on the road. They needed a 99 yard drive, lucky bounce on the onside kick, then another fairly long drive to cut the score to 7. Game was not nearly as close as the final score indicates.

As for this Saturday, my gut tells me it will be a sloppy, fairly low scoring game due to the weather. Going with 21-17 Gophers.

Hope I'm wrong but I'm going to say 20-17 Gophers. Teams seem fairly evenly matched so I'll give a nod to home field.

More of the same. We’re becoming that team that plans on it being ugly hoping to come out of the other side with a “W.” Vedral may be a little boost to the O. He’s not the long term solution, but maybe he could add a little pep to NU’s step.

If Vedral starts or plays a substantial part of the game, it will be interesting to see how he performs. You're right, he could be a spark. However, a young and relatively inexperienced QB making his first start in a hostile environment is usually a perilous proposition under normal conditions. Adverse weather conditions makes it that much more difficult IMO. That is why I predicted different outcomes depending upon which QB plays.

Bad weather. Banged up Huskers team. Not much of a kicking game. Should call for a 13-10 type game, but for some reason, I'm predicting some points scored.

I'll go with Huskers 31 Minnesota 27

No wife right now but after I get done with yours, she'll probably take 1/2 your $ and hit the road to Iowa City. Step Daddy Gary Lazer Eyes :)
Shouldn’t you be watching your 2 loss 1985 Elite Team on B1G Network. The Hawks were led by that gutless Hayden Fry who dropped Nebraska off their schedule.

Too busy trolling Husker boards. Shouldn't you be on hold for 590 AM, going to talk about how good the huskers were in the '90s?

Minnesota- 42

Debbie misses 2 extra points in an absolute blow out in Minny, bye-bye Scott Flop.

This will be an interesting game. Last year MN was NU's breakout game and first win for HCSF. It propelled NU forward. We really hadn't put up more than 4 TDs except once and I'm sure MN was looking past us a bit. It showed what could be done down the road.

It was also a brutal run for MN that culminated in their 4th loss after Maryland, Iowa, and OSU. Since then, they've lost 2 games. It is a new year and we've struggled this year but managed to figure out how to win some close ones. We've had one blowout loss and we've had some really physical games.

If our stars show up to play and we get some decent line play, I like our chances. If we don't have AM, JD, and Mo, much as they have struggled at times, we will struggle. We can't just leave the game to Wan'dale. Other players have to step up.

I am sure MN is going to come in with the mindset of making Vedral beat us with his arm (or AM for that matter if he starts) and they will pack the box and take away the run as much as possible.

Nebraska is superior to Minnesota in every way. 52-13, Nebraska.

That’s just for the half-wit trolls. Now they don’t have to invent tales NU fans and delusions of grandeur. They can copy this post.
