The Gophers have to be worn out from all the running up and down the field they did last week on the Huskers. They are losing to Northwestern 25-0. How ugly is it going to get in State College, today?
I would say very ugly. If not, we’ll all be scratching our heads and some will be saying “give Riley another year.”
In no way at all am I advocating for Riley, but we competed just fine against this NW team 2 weeks ago.
We are closer to competing then it appears. As long as we get a new staff.
More evidence the players gave up on the coaches. Northwestern was the last straw. Too many games in the past 3 yrs where the players gave good effort only to have incompetent coaching decisions cost them.

Yep. Unless we don’t believe in recruiting rankings or services. If that is the case, signing day will be a breeze for the fans.
We were competing with Wisconsin as well until all hell broke loose and things collapsed. We're capable but we NEVER play a full 4 quarters it seems.
39-0 final. Mike just needs more time to get Northwestern-caliber players on campus.
We have not played a solid 4 quarter game since beating UCLA in the bowl game. Not a single one.
It just goes to show you what an uninspired defensive perrformance that was. NW is beating them 39 to 0. How does that happen?

Getting totally dominated last week in every facet of the game by one of the worst teams in the nation was rock bottom.
Getting totally dominated by a very very good team can’t compete with that.
Having said that would love to see our kids come out sharp with some fire and make a game out of this thing. Cannot stand PSU.
