Perhaps your fandome has biased your opinion, as you are choosing to ignore all his negatives and the actual results. Not exactly objective.

BTW. You are on a Nebraska message board arguing with Nebraska fans. Let that reality sink in. I didn’t go to your board, if you even have one, because I don’t care what you think about Nebraska. Yet here you are. If you are so happy with your coach, why is it important that Nebraska fans worship him like you do? That’s just weird.
Imagine there being an actual Minnesota football message board LOL! What would there be to talk about? Which 11 win season with no real championship would they talk about? Probably something about some of the trophies they have swapped with Iowa or Wisconsin over the years.

7 National Championships. A very recent 11-2 season. And looking good this year.

I didn't start these threads, by the way.

You still poping off about never winning a bowl game to win the those national titles and no two platoon football till after the 1964 season..Laughing

Leather helmet years did treat you well my father even enjoyed them as a gopher fan but has been a Nebraska fan ever since Devaney arrived and he’s 95..

I'm sure you've listed his negatives a million times in your head. Can you repeat some? Not opinions please, like "he's only in it for himself" or stuff like that - that's impossible to know. You might *assume* it and every now and then you might see part of a quote, take it out of context, and think it adds to your argument. That's how most people do things.

As for paragraph two, are you suggesting Nebraska fans should only talk amongst Nebraska fans, Gophers fans amongst Gopher fans, lowly Iowa fans amongst fellow lowly Iowa fans? Seems kinda boring, but then again there are like 10 of you on this board that want everything to be a big circle jerk on how Nebraska will get back to glory - and anything outside of that thinking needs to be attacked.

And I couldn't care less if you "worship" him or not. I don't. Just trying to offer some reality to this board. Your takes are made up in your head.

Scott Frost is a .500 (35-38 record) coach. With a National Championship to his credit.

You should have kept him.
Excellent point, because everyone knows that going 1-11 the first year and 12-1 three years later is just about the same as being mediocre every year. Us MN guys just don't get that Nebraska logic somehow.

Tell that to headcard & others on here. They won't listen to me. They always quote 'overall record' as what matters...without any regard to trending up or trending down.

If only there was a board where someone might care…..

You guys have a message board and haven't done jack in like 20 years (well, you did set some record for rushing yards and 200+ yard RBs ALLOWED in a conf champ game) but even with all the misery right now, your board is quite active.

Have you ever seen what Nebraska stadium looks like on game day compared to Minnesota stadium..

Same difference with message boards..

Except that didn’t happen at Minnesota. He has turned 8-4, into 8-4. His 5 years are almost identical to the 5 before him. He had one positive outlier with 11 wins and three seasons below .500.

But I’m sure that somehow the bad seasons don’t count and the previous 8 and 9 win seasons were somehow different and worse. You can believe what you want, even if it isn’t based on reality. I would personally want nothing to do with Fleck, sorry that hurts you.

I know we’ve sucked the past 7 of the last 8 years but the past 20 years.

Nebraska 144-108
Minnesota 130-118.

Maybe after this season will both be closer togeather.

How so? I am literally stating facts.

They were 37-28 (57%) with three 8+ win seasons in the 5 years before him. He went 35-23 (60%) with two 8+ win seasons (one of which was an 11 win season) in his 5 seasons. Those are facts, the fact you think that is somehow wrong or slanted or an opinion is astonishing.

You love the guy, somehow, good for you, that is your opinion. I can’t stand him. He is everything I destain in a person and everything I think is wrong with CFB, that’s my opinion, but his record and the record of his predecessors is fact.

Minnesota has also had good receivers since Fleck has been there. Guys that can catch the ball and make plays. So not only a strong running game, but they can throw the ball too.

I know it’s feels good to make fun of Minnesota , but the truth is they are way better than us now and there program is headed in the right direction . Ours is at it worst state in 60plus years

By your logic, Frost is about a .500 coach (35-38) with an undefeated season and claimed National Championship in just 7 years.

I'm literally stating facts...just like you said you did. With all seasons counting the same; no looking at trends.

Frost really sounds good.

Nebraska will get back to glory. If they hire a coach that builds monster lines, runs the ball and schemes like a bastard. That coach is Fleck. If I were AD I would offer him 8 million with heavy bonuses and if he says no go 1 million more until it's unfeasible or he says yes

You think a coach with a losing record and a 34% win percentage at his most recent job sounds good? And you think that makes some sort of point? That explains a lot.

And I am not ignoring any trends, I literally posted every single season at Minnesota for the last 10. PJ went: losing season, losing season, good season, losing season, good season.

Says the person who keeps replying to the Gopher fans....
You Gopher fans are a sad lot. Super proud of a douche of a coach and strutting around as an average program. Even worse, you do it on another teams board. At least we know about our current state of affairs and actually dislike our former douchetastic coach.

Wish we could play NW again without SF finger prints on the game..
Our offense was better with Frost on the sideline. Chin is the one who gave us little hope against NW. hopefully Whip and Busch can put their guys in a better position going forward

You're not ignoring any trends???

Without the total-joke Covid half-season...Fleck is 24-6 (14-5) since his first 2 seasons. (1st season bad, 2nd season mediocre). Trending up. His last 2 conference records are better than anything since 1973.

You’re wrong. Fleck’s 2nd season was 7-6, not a losing season. His other losing season was the meaningless Covid year. Throw that out and he’s 24-6 since 2019, 14-5 in conference games. The Kill/Claeys era never came close to stretch as good as this.

You are right 7-6, not 6-7. And yes, if you throw out the bad years it looks better.

Apparently Minnesota fans don't have lives to the point where they feel the need to rally to a thread on a different fan bases' board discussing them so they can "defend their honor" or some stupid bs. Sad.

But that video of that horrible game is what makes this even more lamer...

The west is so bad...it is soo soo bad. All NU had to do was be competent (Like when Bo was here) and they would finish 1 or 2 pretty much every season in the division.

Trev would have screw up this hire sooooo badly for NU to NOT be the best team in the division in two years.

At least you can drink in the stadium. I mowed down a bunch of grain belts last time I was there.
