Minnesota at Nebraska

I read that Teddy Allen has had his wrist bothering him for a little while but he did score 41 in one game. The other night he only had 5 points and tonight he didn't score in limited time. The senior from Iceland stepped it up for Minnesota as well as one other senior. I am also glad that Nebraska won today so we might be more focused for them on Monday.

We still have a lot to play for going into the last week of the regular season. If we win out and Wisconsin loses out to Purdue and Iowa on the road, then RU finishes with the 6 seed in the B1G Tourney and would get a Round 1 opponent on no rest for Round 2.

Wisconsin’s last 3 is brutal. Lost to Illinois today, then they get to go to Mackey where Purdue is 9-1 this year (the one loss being Michigan) and then finish up at Iowa. This is lining up very favorably for Rutgers, they just gotta win two very winnable games.

Depends on how many times you played them. The bracketing principles state...

“Teams from the same conference shall not meet prior to the regional final if they played each other three or more times during the regular season and conference tournament.

Teams from the same conference shall not meet prior to the regional semifinals if they played each other twice during the regular season and conference tournament.

Teams from the same conference may play each other as early as the second round if they played no more than once during the regular season and conference tournament.

If possible, rematches of non-conference regular-season games should be avoided in the First Four and first round.

Any principle can be relaxed if two or more teams from the same conference are among the last four at-large seeded teams participating in the First Four.“

That's not a rule that I know of. In 2019 Minnesota played MSU in the second round.

So that means RU theoretically. couldn’t play OSU, Iowa and anyone else they face in the BIG tourney until at least the Sweet 16, right?
