Many have seen the pictures of the horrendous fire that engulfed Minnehaha Liquors in Minneapolis. Sadly, this was a historic liquor store that dates back to prohibition. I understand anger, but what did the owners of this store or anyone else who was just struggling to survive as small businesses do that warranted destruction?

I'm assuming they were guilty of being white and being law abiding citizens. These times dictate that only black lives matter. Everyone else's life can screw off.

Oh, and you are doubley guilty if you are law enforcement. They want to kill you for fun.

I find nothing more offensive than beig told I am 'privileged'. Everyone's life story is different, but I and my family have endured a lot in our lives. A white uncle of my wife was even killed by police in California 6 years ago after a call about a noise disturbance, in his own home. When I shared that not a single person could think that maybe, just maybe, this isn't all about one race.

This is becoming a class war. There are some angry people who are resentful of others who have what they do not. They're hell bent on destruction and evening the score, any way possible. You've got the antifa who want to tear down the very pillars of society because they hate capitalism, and then you have others on the fringe, poorest of poor, criminal records, petty criminals, who see an opportunity. They have no morality. The police are spread thin, so their chances of succeeding go up exponentially. Nothing controversial about this. It's spot on true. Americans need to exercise their constitutional rights.

This was 6 days ago. This town is not even Looting anymore. We need to move forward with rebuilding/helping each other out. It’s time to rebuild this country.

Here in Kansas we are pretty good compared to some places. The states with the big cities are getting rocked this whole year.

Did your wife bang a pothead behind your back? I've never seen someone with such hatred towards marijuana.
The news has convinced him marijuna is a terrible drug.
Hes from a time where you clock in, work, clock out, go home, drink beer, wait for wife to bring dinner, repeat. He cant make his own opinion on topics, but more regurgitate what he hears with no real reason for it.

Ironically, some would say that if being told you're 'privileged' is the MOST offensive thing that you can be told, then you indeed must be privileged.

Ever notice how African immigrants do great here over their American peers? It's about upbringing.

Almost any immigrant group that's not been westernized does better. Work ethic usually off the charts but the longer they are here the more America gets ahold of them

Don't try to make sense of senseless destruction. Opportunists also burned down Uncle Edgar's/Uncle Hugo's Mystery/SciFi Bookstore :( , a little scandinavian gift shop, and numerous other businesses. Those communities are going to be hurting for a long time to come through no fault or action of the vast majority of their actual residents.

For a while, I thought these protests might force me to have to engage in some self-reflection to see if maybe I need to evaluate how I think and act.

Thank God for the looting and other violence so I can disregard any potentially legitimate grievances.

The element of violence and looting certainly does do a great deal of harm to the movement and change that is needed. One minute you're protesting and the next you're breaking away to put a brick through window and run off with some goodies.

African immigrants have different experiences in America because they haven't (yet) had first-hand negative experiences with the white dominant culture in this country. They are also not descended from generations who have endured the legacy of racism, segregation, and social injustices that persist in this country. What you said is another not-so-veiled racist post that insinuates that Americans of non-African descent are "brought up right."

Grow up.

So America isn't some white-only capitalistic club.
It only appears that way to home grown Americans where they were taught that from an early age.

Your post doesn't make any sense. People do well here because they havent had negative experiences yet? At what age do they then stop doing well because surely it cant take whitey that long to get ahold of them?
