I can actually respect that point a lot better than most- Pope himself said he had to adjust in the beginning of the year- but to act like we dont have talent, I have always found ridiculous

i think we have talent, but not like final 4 level talent or national championship talent

Agree to disagree on this one, do I think they hit a final 4 or better? no, execution matters, gelling together matters, injuries matter, coaching matters, but the talent is there, especially non injury roster wise- but- everyone is entitled to their opinion on that POV, so I digress

this team was ranked as high as second preseason, so save the sarcasm, yes, I do, As I said above that is not going to happen- collectively they dont play to that level- but the talent level is there and if you dont think so, I feel very confident in saying you dont know much about talent other than how many stars they have

i think i know a whole lot about talent, there was some dudes i was clamoring for in the portal in the 30-80 range i knew we needed to look at and didnt

ig bro, im just saying its frustrating at home watching highlights of a TON of transfer guys and seeing guys that are going to be good and its like we meticulously avoid them, like morez, bidunga, i mean theres so many

I get it, but that is where we disagree I think. Elite 5 star kids do not equate to titles, we have 25 years of proof to show that is true while Florida just won a national title with a roster full high school 3 stars or less transfers. And on paper, this years UK team coming into the season ranked much higher than Florida's team coming into last year. Their best player was a no star out of high school. People are hung up on the way Cal recruited and that is not the only way to success and its not the only measuring stick for talent.

i LITERALLY was talking about transfer portal guys, why are you talking about hs guys

missing on hs guys is fine if you get great portal guys

and missing on portal guys is ok if you get great hs guys

if u miss on both you have a mediocre season which is what we are seeing

I mean, what? Our team isn’t that talented. Compared to UKCowboy yeah very talented. But not compared to elite teams.

It’s a decently talented group just nothing out there. This team gets beat by 20-30 to 2012 Kentucky, ‘15 Kentucky, probably 14 Kentucky, 17 Kentucky. All top 10-15 teams this season would laugh at the idea of a roster trade. Talented teams don’t get the doors blown off them 3-5 times in a season

Talent is talent, being an elite HS recruit means nada, it doesn't mean wins, they have huge learning gaps- look at Cal, he didn't win much with them and nothing in his last 6 years- but our fans think if you we don't get top ten players they all suck and the world is falling.

They weren't top ten players last few years they were 2nd and 3rd level in the top 50
