If posted already Im sorry. Curious how yall think the offense will perform this year. I loved the balance Oregon had under Stein. Also always ranked really high in explosive plays.

I have been very critical of him because he’s never played quality time in 3 years. I said I would eat crow and admit I was wrong I seriously hope he thrives and does very well.

He certainly looks good on the practice stuff I’ve seen. We all know that must translate to a game, but his physical tools seem to be there.

I went to the spring game and sadly wasn’t impressed. I thought the backup looked better. We will see. It was one small sample size to be sure.
I talked with several people that went and they all thought Minchey was the most impressive thing about the entire game. They said the drop-off between Minchey and the back-ups was significant and immediately noticeable. They saw it totally different than you did ... Fwiw ... Hopefully, he is legit and his play is in line with Stein's expectations. We'll know soon enough ...

I wasn’t impressed either but keep in mind that Stein said they kept the playbook very vanilla in case there were any spies in the stands, our top two RB’s were out, our top three WR’s were out and our best OL was out.

You know your in a pretty solid spot when you got a damn good qb leave your program. Seen him live in south bend during the second of a game. He smart, he quick, throws a bit of line drive ball, and ky got a sec type qb. Zero if's, now its up to minchey to get his drive on. Ky football probably has turned a corner. This coach can flat recruit. Yes im a tru domer homer and tru ky basketball fan. For once, im excited for the second best helmet in college football. A very far close second:).

Minchey is very solid. Was much quicker than i anticipated. Has a good handle on the O. Can make quick decisions and distribute the ball. He just doesn't have that cannon that UK fans love. That means explosive pass plays will be mostly catch and runs.

I am pretty sure we will look much better on O if for no other reason that we have a much better oc. Bush was poor hire that resulted from coen predictably bolting. Bush actually did a decent job with Cutter but he just struggled coaching offense on the whole and it completely derailed the last two seasons.

I’m not surprised. People often see things differently. Me and my son walking to the car both said “ I thought Minchey looked terrible “. I said… “Me too. So we saw it the same way. He missed 2 wide open TDs when he stepped up in the pocket. He’s short, and couldn’t make the open throw under pressure when stepping up. We will see. I’m not giving up on him after one scrimmage. We all have bad days.

Did the other 2 transfer QBs (Cruver and Long) get any series ?
