He had a helluva game, but what was Frost thinking going away from him? Mazour? Yikes.

Picked some really bizarre times to remove Mills from the game. I get that your best RB can't play every single snap, but NU took him out for a couple of critical series and it ended up being costly.

Frost needs a lot of work on his play calling. Too many times we had a first down and it looked like he had no idea what to call next. Took way too long to call in the play, A-Mart taking snaps without even being able to look at the defense. Frost needs to learn that he’s allowed 3 time outs a half and if he’s stumbling to come up with a next play that he needs to use a time out. So many drives that I think we score if he just calls a time out when he’s stumbling on the play call

He only had 17 carries. It’s not like he was over worked at all

Oh I agree, no reason not to get him more carries. But even more maddening than the low number of carries was the number of critical moments when he wasn't even on the field. His big gains clearly opened things up more for Martinez, but it's hard to be an effective decoy standing on the sideline.

Add in that one of those 4 second half carries was a 43 yarder. There is no excuse for that

I thought Frost called a great game. Mills played awesome, I would have liked to see him get some more carries. But it’s not like we struggled to move the ball the second half.

Scott has a lot to learn about being a good coach.

It's interesting how many people are willing to pay him and his staff premium wages for this kind of performance, and then tack on a couple more years for good measure.

Moos is investing in stability for good or bad. It refreshing to know what we are going to have for the next decade and is a selling point to recruits. We have wasted money on the coaching carousel for 17 years. Also, we are paying for Frost to learn on the job.

That being said, some of our playcalling is unreal...

I think that was by design. This coaching staff gets too much in the mind games (AM being the "sweatiest" after practice before the Saturday he didn't play). All we heard for two weeks was how we couldn't fall into the trap of letting WI possess the ball for most of the game making it seem like we were going to push the pace. Nope, we tried to possess the ball the most by controlling the speed by which the play call came in from the sideline.

Let's just try what Arkansas and Tennessee does and get a new coach every 2 years

Nope. You're a *****. Plain and simple.

He called a terrible red zone game. If it's not Adrian screwing it up it's the defense or the special teams. Or it's him. He should have fed Ozigno more against Purdue last season too. Get over people stating opinions. Oh wait, you're behind a computer screen so this is where you get to run your cock holster without repercussions.

I’m fine letting the play clock go down but at least call the play in, in time for your offense to register what the play is and what the defense looks like.

Scott Frost is not a good Gameday coach. He’s a program builder. A culture changer. A lot of these coaches should eventually give the playcalling up to an OC

Still not sold on AM. He just doesn't have any quicks. An OK runner, but nothing says "wow".

You're a *****.

Not sure why you’re so pissed. He’s right.

The lack of touches for Mills in the second half was just par for the course for a coaching staff sitting at 8-14.

I think he’ll build the program but he just can’t help himself. Loves to put it in AMs hands and the dude makes slow decisions.

He’ll give a 5’8 dude that weights 170 pounds 30 touches but can’t get mills over 20?

You can’t think he called a great game. Cant remember the last time he did call a great game.

Frost needs to have a heavy package for short yards, this offense in designed for big plays not 4,8, 15 yards at a time. It really struggles in the red zone

We're not starting anyone over Martinez until he graduates. Frost has a major boner for him so he'll continue to cost us games well into the future.

True enough. He's fairly fast but TMart in his prime would have run circles around him and leave him in the dust. Oh, I don't mean to insult AMart as he's still sometimes fairly quick. As a long-time NU fan I'm just horribly spoiled. Winking

If we had TM this year we'd have at probably two or three more wins.

U assume you're talking about Mills. Go back and watch again. Mills on a couple plays was blocking for AM. Mills, clearly faster than AM

Your post speaks truth to me.Our OLine today was better than they've ever been all year long but was still average at best. We need better players.

Frost is not a good coach. My grandma with one decent eye can see it. We will hover around 5-7 wins until he is gone.
