He ran really, really well today. Looked fast, good vision, and broke a lot of tackles. Should have gotten more touches in the red zone. If he can play like that here on out it will free up Wandale. Hopefully Frost learned something about what he’s got today.

Gotta give credit to the OLine for that, too. And to Frost for doing his homework...Illinois had success with many of the same plays.

Now Frost play calling was better at times but still left a lot to be desired. Its obvious he wants to run a no sub offense, but how he didnt realize coming in that he doesn't have a no sub roster is head scratching.

He's good at planning and scheming but gets in his own way too much during the game.

O line did a better job today. Mills looked like Ozigbo did last season. We just can't get any consistency week to week and possession to possession. Agree that it was head scratching why we didn't see him more in goal to go on second half.

No kidding, where has this been all along?! I know a lot of people were wondering if he was just gonna be another Bell, but I could tell from the start Mills was actually legit. Originally chalked up to not being used to running behind zone blocking, and maybe he's getting acclimated now. But he's a legit workhorse back! It helps now that the o line finally seems to be geling a bit.

Next season should be something to look forward, even with a tougher schedule.

I think it’s true that it took Mills a little time to adjust his reads, etc. But he always struck me as a guy with a positive attitude and hard worker and not the type to have one eye on the transfer portal at the first sign of hardship.

Just a few days ago we had some posters calling him a bust.....

He balled today. He hasn’t fumbled in a long time either so I’m glad someone is taking their position serious.

it took them half of cross's time here till they figured out how to use him.
the denver rb they never used right. I guess we had to run the weird guy with thin legs and the 180 pound guy up the middle (get them injured first) before we figure out to run the guy built like lp/duboise.

He ran decisively, fast, broke tackles, and with purpose! Was great to see that come together and good run blocking. If the Offense runs like this in the next two games, we definitely have a chance to win both games to go bowling.

Mills was downright awesome but what was even more stunning was seeing our OLine actually block the cheese-heads. I could hardly believe it! Sure, they didn't dominate but they were 10,000 light-years better than I expected. Loved it!!

You need to remember these same guys had Ozigbo buried in the depth chart last year.

Bump again. He is turning in to the back we thought he would be at the beginning of the year. I think it’s a combination of the line playing better and Mills getting more familiar with this type of offense.

He is goin to have a big senior year.

Looking forward to seeing him explode next year! Let's just hope we can get some quality depth behind him. I wasn't entirely blown away by Johnson yesterday, but he is just a freshman.
