I mean, working this all out with the university is part of what the association is supposed to do.
Sometimes things just malfunction. Nothing about the lights going off is on the NCHSAA.

We can agree the NCHSAA has it's issues but you're just being ridiculous.

Think whatever you want. This is a premier, probably THE premier, event of the NCHSAA year. It doesn't take much to coordinate with the facilities manager to ensure things go off without a hitch.

I guess you've never seen the lights malfunction anywhere before.

The little things will get ya. Can't afford a high snap when the defense is bringing that pressure

Good lord, of course. But when you choose to play a game on a Thursday night, and a big game mind you, maybe you should ensure that there aren’t any glitches such as that the lights are on a timer. Because if you noticed they went off at ten.

That doesn't mean anything. You're only thinking that because they mentioned it on TV as a possibility. UNC has played multiple night games this year.

UNC knew the times so if it is on a timer it's on them. Sometimes malfunctions can't be helped.

And damn it's not like they had to wait 30 minutes for them to cool down to cut back on.

I didn't expect much from Millbrooks offense but I was very impressed with their defense. Not too much different than the Wake Forest teams from a few years ago with a great D and an underwhelming O.

I expected more from Hough’s offense.

As an eastern guy I was afraid of a 35-7 game.

The game was almost unwatchable.

It is amazing how poor our highest classification teams were on offensive execution and special teams.
What do they practice?
95% on defense
5% on offense
0% on special teams
Neither team can even long snap consistently for punts?
That will cost you plenty

Defenses were good.
But if neither offense can run some simple plays, that is not a credit to the defense.
That is woeful execution.

We get it.
Line up 7 or 8 very athletic studs on the scrimmage line and out athlete them to the ball. That’s been the method for many Titles.

But for other states, seeing our highest classification teams have only that to offer, they are laughing at us.

Congrats to both teams for getting there.
Congrats to Hough for earning the Title.

It would be nice to see championship crispness in all phases of the game.

I did not see the game but I do know a couple of the coaches on the Millbrook side in fact I have been on the same staff with a few of them and they are really good coaches. Now why there were poor snaps and low offense production I have not idea on that. Both teams averaging giving up 6.6 ppg this year that is outstanding. Hough averaged 37 ppg and Millbrook 36.7 ppg. Maybe this was like the Indiana vs Ohio state game. Two great defenses getting after it

Well with Millbrook making the title game that was the 3rd head coach that was on the Mt. Tabor staff(2007). That has coached in a the title game.
Sapp head coach in 2007? Marshall is good coach Hough defense was too much. They shut West Charlotte down too.
