Go stalk somebody else. Facts are facts chump. Injuries happened. Transfers happen. Maybe the transfers were Miles's fault. Maybe they weren't. IMO, the Jacobsen transfer and Copeland injury ultimately is what will lead to his demise.

I strongly disagree. You act like this was his only bad year. Before this year he had 6 years, .500 winning record, 1 NCAA tournament, and zero tournaments ultimately Tim Miles being a **** coach lead to his demise. He’s hot garbage and no one can say anything to support that he’s a good coach. You can claim that he’s a good person, but that’s irrelevant to how good of a coach he is. This isn’t junior HS.

Wow. Tell me how you really feel about Miles. I wasn't making any excuses for his lack of depth to deal with the injuries. Just stating the fact that they happened. I'm somewhat amused at how personal some people seem to take Miles's failure. Personally, I'll be just fine no matter what happens with him. After all, he'll still be a millionaire. Winking BTW, I have NEVER EVER claimed that he's a good person. I don't know the guy. A couple of things I've heard make me think he's made some serious errors in judgement.

JMHO, but any P6 school with even a little pride and expectations of its basketball program, that was considering a coaching change, would not let a potential NIT appearance delay the decision.

Just another reason Nebraska is pathetic in basketball and I’ve said don’t be surprised if Miles is back.

IMO, the hold up is that the replacement candidate(s) is(are) still coaching. It would be Steve Pedersonish to fire Miles while we're still playing if we don't have a name on a contract yet. JMHO. I think you almost have to wait until the team is done playing. But, let me ask you this. What if NU goes on a run and wins the damned NIT? What do you do then?

I will still think that Miles should go and Moos needs to make a hire that improves the Nebraska basketball men's program. After seven years we know who Miles is. I do not understand why anyone would think Miles is suddenly going to become a winning coach.

If Nebraska wins the NIT with mainly Seniors, How does that help them next year? They could be like Penn State and struggle the following year. Miles is professional enough that he may have been told already he is done after the NIT. The new coach will be named after Miles season is done. These decisions are tough and the transition of coaches is not easy but believe that is the time table.

It would also be Steve Pedersonish to let Miles continue to coach into an NIT tournament and fire him after. If he’s going to let him coach he almost has to hope Nebraska loses the first game if he wants to make a change.

Not much good comes from letting him coach if he’s not going to be retained.

If Moos is letting him coach then I’m guessing Hoiberg and Matta said no or aren’t being approached. Add to it Altman and Oats signed extensions, so they aren’t coming. So as I speculated, it is possible that no one wants this job.

Moos IMO is playing with fire and looks bad leaving these coaches hanging. Other coaches will remember this, just as coaches remembered Frank being fired.

Moos has said several times he would make his statement about the coach after the season is over. Nothing more to it.

All of this is starting to sound really shrill and panicked, kind of like when everyone started pissing their shorts because they thought Frost wasn't coming. Since everyone is busy speculating their *** off, I'll put my two cents on Moos having this all in hand. He's gained my confidence as an AD, so what's a few more days? I'm glad Watson and Palmer get one more home game.

If you are James Palmer, is the NIT worth the risk when you are looking to play pro ball somewhere next year?

I don't know, I guess my response to that is "whatever". These guys play basketball every day of their lives. It's not the same as football. My guess is Palmer would say, "hell yes I want to play".

For Katz, he is working for a company that is literally only covering the Big Ten, you sort of have to make sure that you play the part.

I totally get that. But Katz has been kind of cuckoo in his praise of Miles. He could have said Nebraska is a tough place to coach/recruit and Miles has done an admirable job given the circumstances, blah, blah, blah. Maybe NU should give him more time, blah, blah, blah. While not agreeing with him, I could at least understand that take.

But Katz is propping up Miles like some sort of miracle worker who's become a victim of his own success. Of course there are no consequences for being wrong when you're a talking head, but I don't understand he's giving Miles the X-rated slobber job when PG-13 would suffice.

I'm guessing if we fill the place that will help with revenue for oh say....a coaching change. I wonder what a home basketball game is worth to NU and the city of Lincoln.
