CNN would provided they thought he had information leading to a false indictment of someone for somethingAnyone willing to go camp out at UNL and report when you see his car and what kind of coffee cup he’s carrying? Just weird we haven’t heard anything at all on this front yet?

What is surprising to me is that nobody from within the AD’s office has leaked anything yet, one way or the other. That could mean that things are still very much up in the air. If a firm set of decisions had been made my hunch is that that info would have been leaked by now.
I hope you're wrong. This is starting to look Pederson/Callahan-esque. I don't think the national pundits are right about Miles, but they're right about this being a bad look for us. Something weird is going on.I’m getting the impression that something is up with Moos not being our AD for long...

You're bothered by dot, dot, dot? Why are you here if you don't like unfounded speculation? None of us actually know anything, including you.we can all do without the wildly unfounded speculation, but I'd trade the hot takes for the removal of the extremely passive aggressive '..' at the end of each post in a heartbeat

Possible. Everyone saves face and$$Maybe Miles will land a job at another school and we are waiting on them

The season is less than 48 hours from over and you're calling it Pedersonesque? If Moos and Green have shown anything, they will be thoughtful and deliberate in how they do business. Firing a guy as he steps off the plane from an away game is not how they do business. As I've said since January, we need to be patient and let things play out.I hope you're wrong. If he isn't fired by today, I almost start to wonder if he gets fired at all. If Moos had every intention to fire Miles there is no point in waiting. Doesn't matter if the new coach is hired or not. If new coach is hired, fire Miles and announce new coach ASAP once the season ended. If there is no new coach, still no point in waiting to fire Miles. Fire him and look for a new coach and announce new coach when hired. So to me if Miles is not fired by today or tomorrow at the latest that has me leading to believe he will be the guy 1 more year. Of course it is also possible Moos is being a nice guy and letting Miles say his goodbyes and get his stuff in order before making it official. If we don't hear anything by today, I think it's safe to assume that Moos hasn't found his replacement yet. Otherwise, there is no reason to drag this out for another day.

Firing a guy who has that many zeros in his salary is not as easy of a decision as some think. Riley was easy. Miles not so much. Moos has to be sure he has a strong majority of boosters and regents in his corner before he does it. That might entail some closed meetings or at the very least some individual phone calls and meetings to be sure that's what his "constituency" wants. If he isn't fired by today, I almost start to wonder if he gets fired at all. This is my guess as wellThe silence is deafening. I’m wondering if there are negotiations going on? Buyout, resignation, mutual parting of ways, or whatever euphemistic term you want to use to make it seem like it isn’t a “firing.”

No more awkward than this year was. It was widely known that Moos pursued at least Altman last year and that's why it took him so long to offer Miles an extension. It's been reported by many credible people that Moos has been actively looking for a new coach, so I don't think he had any intention of retaining him.
It seems more likely to me that Hoiberg has had second thoughts and now we are scrambling for a replacement. But I don't know how he can keep MIles now when it was public knowledge that we were looking for his replacement while he was still coaching here. It would be very awkward next year.
The group think of message boards is entertaining at best. We assume and the talking heads assume he's gone. Unfortunately the collective majority opinion being expressed by a message board or talk radio often does not reflect the reality of the powers that be. I suspect that Moos wants to be sure he has somebody better lined up before he pulls the plug and that may be more of a challenge than some of the experts on here want to admit.Or, just maybe Moos is doing a thorough and thoughtful review of the program. Meeting with Tim and stake holders to see what worked, what didn't, and what his vision is for 1, 2, 3 years.
Then some reflection on that.
Maybe that takes more than a few hours, especially if you think you are close to being successful
He just retweeted this.Sean Callahan has since deleted the tweet, but apparently Hoiberg declined Nebraska’s offer and Moos is working on an extension for Miles. So who knows what’s going on.

Miles is likely going to have better options than SDSU if he's let go. Hell he would be a good fit at UNLV with what he wants to do offensively.Otzelberger to UNLV would open up South Dakota State for Miles, which is very close to his hometown:
Then up the damn offer, or go after someone else. Miles is NOT a power 5 coachSean Callahan has since deleted the tweet, but apparently Hoiberg declined Nebraska’s offer and Moos is working on an extension for Miles. So who knows what’s going on.
Not sure If I believe that at least Callahan tweeting out about it. I follow him on Twitter and set to alert whenever he and other media member send out a tweet. I haven't seen anything come across his twitter account regarding that.Sean Callahan has since deleted the tweet, but apparently Hoiberg declined Nebraska’s offer and Moos is working on an extension for Miles.
