Agreed and it "seems" his confidence shooting the ball has improved. Known as a shooter coming out of high school one has to hope that his shot returns on a consistent basis now that the schedule toughens up.

I said it in the game thread---this was the best game of his career. He did a little of everything

Watching guys like Mike Williams improve and get to have some success is why I still follow college sports. His effort and attitude were never a problem. Glad to see things coming together for him.

He is finding and taking the right shots, which is huge for him.

Not forcing. Just getting to spots he is comfortable at.

Nice job by Mike, and i hate what Holiday Festival has become. Remember 1979 when RU beat Ohio State in three overtimes.

He had a solid game. I'm happy for him. I think not having to handle the ball as much because we have Nigel this year has helped
Carino said Nigel left the game limping. Didn't want to start a new thread on that, but is there an update?

It looked like Nigel was hobbling around with about 8 min left in the 2nd half. He came out of the game. He did go back in with about 4 minutes left and seemed to be moving around as usual. I think he is going to be ok.

Always liked Williams, even when he struggled. Had a real nice chat with him just before this season began. A very nice young man. Happy for him. You go Mike.

Funny...before the season, everyone was saying that Mike Williams was odd man out of the rotation. I said at that time and its coming to fruition; Mike will earn his playing time. He has shown to be the glue on this team. The game is finally slowing down for him. It nice to see player maturity.

Plays with incredible heart. My favorite player...
Mike was almost a one man show tonight..Every big basket, big rebound, big dive on the fall, defending all over the court, dribbling thru double teams. Mike loves coming home and had a real good game against Vanderbilt at Barclays his freshman year. He plays like a tough NyC guard which we need more of down the road . His shot was on and his drive to the hoop through traffic was terrific. When he air balled that 3 from the corner late in the game I was in shock since things were falling all day.
