but he's probably in my top 5 when he keeps pulling talent like Kenny Gainwell and Darryl Henderson from Mississippi.

He would be fantastic at State. Offensive mind, program builder, and a guy that could raise our recruiting profile. If we could just be a consistent Top 15-20 recruiter we’d see a much better product.

I know that he takes some heat for his defenses, but they’ve gradually gotten better each year since two seasons ago, and they’re now giving up a full hundred yards/gm less than they did in 2017. There’s progress there, and Memphis is one of those schools where there’s just never going to be enough talent to be good on both sides of the ball.

I don’t know how Norvell would do in the SEC West, but we could do worse. It doesn’t hurt that he’s already familiar with recruiting the MS area

He would have to find a DC that actually can run a defense or keep Shoop. That is the biggest concern with Norvall. I know AAC is an offensive league but I want a really good DC paired with Norvall

In the SEC, Norvell would have better defenses just because he'd have SEC talent on that side of the ball. His poor defenses are a product of where he coaches.

In the three years before Norvell got to Memphis their classes were ranked in the 80’s and 90’s. Since he’s been there they’ve been ranked in the Top 60 three times and are currently ranked 56th with only 14 commits. If we could make that kind of jump at State we’d be a Top 15-20 recruiter which would give us a chance.

They would not be able to handle a solid SEC team. They would beat us but our offense would have a field day with the defense they play in that league.

It's the new Mountain West.

I think the assumption would be that as an SEC coach he would have access to an SEC roster.

Hey guys, Norvell only managed to barely squeak by UNM by 5 points, at home. Let’s don’t go overboard on the guy.

It crazy what he’s doing considering he’s at MEMPHIS. They have exactly 2 4-star players on their entire roster, both signed by Norvell. They’ve only signed eight 4-star players in the history of their program.

He’s smart in loading up the talent on offense and boat racing their opponents.
