Dude built programs in freaking Lubbock and Pullman, and he doesn't talk in coach speak. He could kill it here, but our fanbase would freak out.
Our fan base will freak out no matter who we hire. Just par for the course here. Whoever we hire must have skin as thick as a rino's! Ha

I like the guy, I like him as a coach, he is a winner and a program builder. Saying all that I don't really care for his offensive style. I wish him luck but he aint coming here. (at least thats what Moos says)

He passes the gawd dam ball to much but he has been a pretty good coach with an identity. He would not be my first choice but a good plan B

Leach is definitely my #2 but he can't be hired here. Moos can't hire him. That would burn a major bridge between and his former employer/ alma mater and he won't sh*t on them like that. It's one thing to leave the school for a different job but another thing to take the only thing their athletics has going for them right now, Mike Leach. They had 2 great things when Moos was there. Now they are down to 1.

But as far as the video goes, it's 100% spot on. Best quote was "after its done, you will wish you had eloped" and I had a really fun wedding. But I remember thinking at the end of the reception thinking WTF was that?

So in what big pond was he a failure? Or was his failure the fact he was never an NU player or assistant coach?
I never said he was a failure. He does better in a small pond (Pullman) where he can be the center of attention. And that has to do with his personality - not his coaching ability.

Not sure where you got the bit about "or was his failure the fact that he was never an NU player or assistant coach"? You're reading a bit too much into my simple statement.

He may actually be nuts. Don't think he would be a good fit here.

He throws away games. Falk was having a bad game against Arizona. Leech puts the second string QB in who kept throwing interception after interception. There was nothing wrong with Falk and he was fuming on the bench. Leech kept looking at the little sheet of paper he is always scribbling on. Leech was proving a point to Falk to the detriment of the team. My Coug friends were furious. Mike is too wacky, too offbeat to work in Lincoln. He would hate the scrutiny he would receive at Nebraska. No one cares about WSU football after the season ends. Pullman is in the middle of nowhere. 29000 people with 25000 connected to the college.

Should be mandatory listening for all men considering a proposal.

Dated a woman for many years, she had an $8,000 ring and $5,000 dress picked out even before I thought about proposing. She had every credit card maxed out. Breaking up with her was like winning the lottery. Another girlfriend wanted big ring, big church wedding, big honeymoon, but didn't want to talk about kids. Broke up with her on her birthday.

Finally met my wife. She said she didn't want a ceremony, just wanted to elope to the JP, or just have kids without even getting married. Met for lunch, got the marriage license, got married before a judge the next week, and everybody was thrilled. Weddings are ********. Half the time people are already getting divorced before they even get the wedding bills paid off. Best weddings I have attended have been small and personal.

Well you just said again he’s better in a small pond. Unless he has failed in a big pond, why would you say that? Devaney had a huge personality and he did ok in Big Lake Lincoln.

Lmao at this post.

He has a trophy?

I'm not going to get into a pissing match with you over this... The fact that he won in Lubbock Tx & Pullman Wa says more than enough to me about his coaching abilities.

Alright so if you have to pull the Leach off in 4 years due to fan/booster pressure, how much of NU could he tear out with him reputation wise?

Leach IMHO is potentially more dangerous than Blo ever was at his height of ridiculousness.

Hell no..

We want Championships not just win games.
do you know there are only 4 current head coaches that have won national titles as a head coach? If you are talking about west division titles I think Leach can do that. He may not be a forever coach but I think he'd get us in the right direction.
