After reading that I'm regretting my post.
Bottom line. We all want a good ST coach really bad.
I just don’t see this happening. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that Matt has yet to really hire anyone with a deep Husker past. Eckler is from the state, and coached here. I think most people can agree Matt’s pretty insecure. Even if you don’t agree with that here, you know it deep down or I’d have to question your intelligence
But maybe Matt will do it. He’s finally started to get out of his own way on some hires. We need a guy who’s coached pressure. the old guy had never had to deal with it as much

Does this special teams coach seem to be taking an awfully long time? What could be the hold up? College is over. We already hired someone a month ago off a team still in the playoffs.
He’s got nothing in the works that’s going to pan out is my fear. Yeah sometimes assistant coaches make a move in February but not often.
Watching film? Recruiting? Moving? Learning players names?
Are you saying we should hire someone the day before spring practice because anything before that is inconsequential?
No. I think they should hire someone when they know it’s the right person and not just to appease fans.
I'm just pointing out that it's a little concerning that he has likely known for several months he wasn't going to retain Foley and we are within days of February and no one has been announced. That would lead me to believe he didn't have someone in mind.
I think there's some legitimate cause for concern that he's not able to wrap up 2 coaching staff spots 3 weeks after most teams had wrapped up their seasons. Thought he was the hardest working coach out there? People would have called Bo or Frost lazy for the same reason.

He basically said, what the heck else would they be doing right now more important than this…is the way I took it.
Gotta agree with this. If we're willing to punch a granny, Foley shouldn't be safe.
