He will throw a wad of gum at all the Packer fans in heaven, if any such there be.
My first job ever was at Ditka’s O’Hare, making Home Run Inn pizzas in a little kitchen off the bar. I did the coat check and the gift shop too. And during Bears games, they let me play music during the commercials. I was in high school. He was very nice and to us and generous with his time. He even asked me a few questions when I wore my football jersey. Sad day.
Sweetness also passed during Packers week. A few days later, a lousy Bears team blocked a FG as time expired to upset a much better Packers squad. Maybe we’ll get some divine intervention this Sunday too.
