Gotta love a kid who goes out bowling after the game. He looked very good out there. Like the I-backs of old!
I didn’t want to say it but I will. Reminded me of a young Ahman Green. 🥴. I don’t think he has Green’s straight line speed but dang JR runs hard. Ok. I’ll duck and run for cover.

So many idiots in the world and this kid looks like a gem. Probably smart with NIL too.
Saw him on the news last night talking about the heat. Said he's a military brat. Grew up on different bases in the south. Explains a lot of his likability and common sense. Was raised right with discipline and respect.

His genuine appreciation for the opportunity given to him is great to hear. People like that will always give their best.

A leaner Green. Kinda a Burkhead/Helu hybrid

Definitely hints to how Roy ran on the field in both Rule and Nelson. Rule is bigger with a bit more giddy up, but Nelson runs with a lot of violence. Neither go down on first contact. That’s a nice duo and both are productive in the pass game. Where does Barthel go to receive apologies? The nobody he brought along with him has done nothing but produce when he has gotten touches, and the rookie he recruited was the player of the game for NU.

I'm ready to accept an apology from Barthel and crew for doing everything in their power to not play EJ. Kudos to Barthel though for finding what looks to be a legit big 10 rb. Brings me joy.

Not sure that was Barthel. Satt was the OC the first year and 3/4 of the second. The first year was a triage after the Sims was a bust and Gabe and Rahmir went down. Satt and Rhule were favoring a more power run game and Dowdell was the lead back second year. All that changed when Dana took over the call sheet. My point is it hasn’t mattered which back has been in when the question is are they ready to play. This was not true for the entirety of the Frost years.
