I don't think republicans are just complicit. This Congress has been grossly ineffective. We have a gazillion issues right now..healthcare, affordability, immigration, budget and I'm sure you could add a few more. This Congress has failed to address adequately any of them. Not that democrats have helped or could do any better, but republicans are in charge. It's like this Congress started without a plan and even deviated from it.

I wouldn't be too enthusiastic about Republicans ineffectiveness. Democrats, when they take the house likely won't do much to attack those issues either.
