I think the poster fka Grappler89 was banned yet again. Don't worry, he will return under a new name but his writing style is unmistakable.

Truth is, if he just toned it down, he could be a solid contrarian poster at times.

His boy Giraldo looking good today. Perhaps he has not fully packed it in just yet.

Yes his competition was not great, do not think he faced any starters(11 person bracket), but as you said any tournament win in college is a good win.

Of course Creedo/Legit has been quiet, he has not come up with a new name...Lol. Giraldo looked terrible last year due to the weight cut and weight cut only!!! He has looked good this year and today's win against Bannister was an excellent win. He tends to wrestle close matches all the time, but that does not mean he is burnt out.

RU got some favorable draws today but they were very aggressive and were looking to score points, which is always a good sign.

Lets hope RU can pull a couple Qtr final upsets tonight and get 3 or 4 into the semis.

I like Theo's chances of beating the higher seed Oliver.
I also like Giraldo's chances against Delgado
Unseeded Van Brill must be worrying Doug Heffernan
Gravina wrestling very strong, he's a live underdog for sure.
Ashnault should MD I think

I think advancing 2 is a definite , 3 a distinct possibility, and even 4 not crazy, but probably doubtful.

Ashnault beat Rolfing from Cal Bakersfield 17-5 in the dual meet. We must have wrestled Delgado of Oregon State last year.

Van Brill , Theo and Giraldo all lose. Van Brill and Giraldo by 1 point decisions and Theo gets pinned. Giraldo got screwed on 2 calls.

Theo was up 1-0(had riding time locked up+1 essentially meaning he's up 2-0) and then gets pinned in the third.. Ouch!! Giraldo loses in a heartbreaker with some bs calls.. but if he finished that shot in the third we wouldn't have had to go into OT...damn... Van Brill loses a close one..
