Greenberg is correct to worry about mid major (MM) and low major (LM) programs. MM rely heavily on the $85k-$95k per guarantee game. Many use those funds to pay the coaching staff, cover recruiting trip expenses pay bus drivers for conference road games.
There are LM programs who have one fulltime assistant coach, one part-time assistant coach and the third coach gets a stipend.
Having guarantee game payouts being cut to maybe $20k is really going to hurt programs.
To be clear, I totally understand why the pay outs were slashed for this season.
