Hey lets just give this guy a chance. Why would any inside people want to post if they get criticism from so many people. Call him out later if he wasn't accurate otherwise appreciate it.
This is true BUT this seems a little too obviously contrived.

No wonder we're inundated by trolls. The guy LITERALLY said he has more than one account, he LITERALLY said his other account is bigtimebooster. Do whatever you want, I choose not to be stupid. He posts **** with zero factual basis and we all know 100% that no one knows ANYTHING at this point. Yet we spend days arguing over something posted by a troll who knows nothing. So I'll go ahead and say he's a troll and you're stupid for debating what he posted. Go back and re-read this thread and notice that there has been no denial of any of my posts. He's laughing at all of you right now.

I love how this troll begins by saying that his source says there is a 65% chance of MJ getting hired. Where did this percentage come from? What the hell does 65% mean? If you mean that there is a better than 50% chance then just say that. What the hell is this 65% ********? What does it mean to say that there is a 15% chance beyond 50% that he will be hired?
65 percent of the time, it works all the time.

Of course he’ll be the coach. Trev is realizing he can’t pull any of the coaches who’s names have been floated. The nebraska job is a career killer for over 20 years now

I'm shocked to learn that if MJ does well this season he will be in consideration for the position.

That's hard hitting info you just can't get elsewhere.

@king_kong_ you're the gambling expert around here, what would you say the over/under is on how many posters in this thread are the same single person? I'd say it's gotta be 2 or 3.

One would think if you wanted to establish some credibility that you would stick to one screen name and not have it be “bigtime booster”. No doubt we’ve had some new posters get shouted down after posting some good info but this guy seems to be using the m o of huskerfaninwisci taking posts from other boards and presenting them as his new inside info. …..

I think that is actually about what he would get in today's market.
it's a huge discount in today's market

we committed that to a guy with 2 years of G5 head coaching experience 5 years ago

there's no chance Mickey or anyone else for that matter accepts the exact same annual salary as our previous coach - a 3rd grader could negotiate for more

Why give him that kind of guaranteed money when you know you could hire him for half that base with big incentives available for performance. I think it’s just insane to give that kind of contract to a guy who has never been a P5 head coach and I’m a big fan of Mickey.

we literally just did it 5 years ago

Mickey would be a fool to accept the same terms. He will get $6M/year minimum just based on precedent & going rate

no way in hell would he or should he accept the same or less than what dickhead frost got

the head coach at Nebraska should absolutely make more than 11 or 12 (or all) of his B1G peers just based on the gravity of the position

It is the market that we are in. He would not sign for less than Frost either.

If you remember we just signed the last coach without Power 5 experience to that kind of contract 5 years ago.

Maybe bigbooster IS antirowboat?
Negative. Just show up Saturday and be loud. Mickey wants the job and wants to unite the fans. He is bringing back a lot of community relations stuff if he gets the job. He wants young kids in elementary school to get a chance to be on the field at memorial stadium once every few years. Thinking big picture to make sure local kids stay.

Do you have any idea to how bad we’d get our asses kicked if we did that

I believe given his lack of proven success as a P5 head coach or elite coordinator, the market is much less than the average B1G head coach. Provide big incentives but there’s zero reason to guarantee him 30 million. That’s just foolish. JMO

He had just coached his team to an undefeated season and an eventual win over a top 10 team.

Plus, I disagree with some that say TA would never get the chance to hire the next HC if Mickey didn't work out. If Mickey KEEPS this team competitive after the disaster that was Frost, most would be on board with giving him a shot.

If it DIDN'T work, this situation is COMPLETELY different than even when Frost was hired.

Buying a stock that is destined to underperform (severely) when the market price is high. After this season, Joseph can be in the pool of guys for HC jobs and probably get one.
wrt Joseph, I'm assuming Alberts is evaluating how he is handling himself in terms of leading the players and coaches and interfacing with other staff. I would say we already know that he is not over matched for such a job.

I love Mickey and won’t be disappointed if Trev gives him the wheel but there’s no way he would be a serious candidate for anything more than a Sunbelt head coaching position. IF he gets the gig pay him that Sunbelt level with incentives that reach to the B1G level. Being stupid with your money just because you have it is still being stupid.

and had zero P5 experience. That is what we are talking about. I would put MJ resume up against SF 5 years ago and it would look better outside of the HC gig which we all know now meant nothing.

Very little chance that anybody with real connections announces himself as a big time booster on the inside. You're full of ****.

Trev has told Mickey what he needs to do. They talk often. I can tell you parents of the players are wanting him as well. 5 wins will most likely get Mickey the job.

Maybe I'm in the minority as I did not read every response...but I believe there is something to the OP's claim....I'm also the same guy who had no idea his wife was doing the marriage counselor so I can be pretty clueless at times. Full disclosure.
