IF I were a head coach.
This sport is played with agression. Both teams are loaded with alpha competitors. I also understand, sometimes with young adults, their emotions are not easily controlled in the heat of the moment. That is part of our job as coaches - teach them control, patience, evaluation and intelligence in stressful situations. It makes better citizens.
As to the altercation between the players, I have not yet had the opportunity to fully review video, so my comments will be muted at this point.
I also understand, as it was told to me, my guys felt they were attacked without provocation. I'm not sure many people in this world would not defend themselves in that scenario. Many times disrespect and physical assault is met with the same. It's human nature. I will review the film, talk to my team and address it later.
