Kirk Ferentz just announced he’s not going to Michigan. So, it won’t be him.

After Captain Kirk announced he was not taking the Michigan job his agent negotiated an annual salary increase of a million/year and a contract extension for him.

Supposedly taking half his staff, should be a lot of players entering the portal. Then, they hire the asst because no quality coach would take that job with the possible future penalties for cheating. If they actually get penalized, 30% more of their players will enter the portal. Michigan might be done for the foreseeable future.

Good move, only way to keep the team from falling apart. Plus he coached games this past year.

Meatchicken won't like how this turns out.
I know they won it all this season and that the last 3 seasons have been great for them but I swear their fans have forgot that they have basically been a pretty lame team for the last 100 years that got to get easy wins vs the lame *** Big Ten.

They are going to look a lot more like Pre-JH...and it will be a hard pill to swallow when their "good" seasons are 9 wins.

A healthy Frank Solich move, by a program on the doorstep of a, (hopefully deserving fate to rival SMU), penalty that should hopefully keep the cheating under control for once.

I don't like you. But for once you said something intelligent. So, you get my like.

Well, good luck to him (except when we play them) but I thought Michigan would go after a big name coach causing another Titanic shift in the college coaching world. It'll be interesting...

You would think that these "CFB Monarchies" continue down the line without hiccup. From Bob to Tom to Frank was something completely unique and still is.

I am firmly a believer that CFB is cyclical and we are due back.

When you have a team like Michigan that gorges on bad teams every year for 100 yrs, of course you'll be on top.

Now, if Michigan had to deal with Oklahoma every year on top of OSU... They would probably be batting as a middling. But, I'm not going to try and do that math cause I'm tired.
